The chains he had just perceived, the shackles binding him to the Null Scale… they weren't immutable laws. They were constructs. Aspects. And Aspects, like anything else that existed, could be understood, broken, and, for him, Assimilated.
Suddenly, the oppressive purple aura of Elara, the Level Zero Scale Nar'Thyss, felt different.
It was still immensely powerful, still capable of crushing his current Dream Body if he wasn't careful, but it was no longer the key. He no longer needed her power, her higher-scale authority, as the hammer to shatter his chains. He had tasted the nature of Limitation itself, assimilated a fragment of its essence.
Now, he could perceive the chains freely, understand their structure.
And more than perceive them… he could now break them himself!
