Voices slipped through the cracked door as Brittany sat in the corner of the master bedroom she'd been placed in. Her knees were to her chest and her hands clenched into the thick fabric of Nathan's hoody.
Just after the episode between Nathan and his father, she watched them drag him out of the house with both wrists shackled like a prisoner. Even though her gaze had burned into his back as he left the front door, he didn't look back to say another word to her. But if he did, she feared she would've ran to him.
Alpha Denzel asked her to follow him out and somehow, after managing to creep behind him through the small crowd that'd risen, she ended up in this place a bit far off from the rest of the houses.
