Section 6 : A Welcome Surprise or is it?

Both Ciels were heading to alive Ciel's room but while they were jumping on buildings alive Ciel asked "For the meantime, what do you think we should call each other?"
"ohh- I honestly not sure hahaha, maybe we should stick with past Ciel and Servant Ciel it seems reasonable"
"hahaha well, it is not every day that you meet another version of yourself, still I am shocked that I was able to become a servant- OH! Right! I forgot to ask, what class did I become? From my knowledge I know there is 7 classes beside the ruler class, so which did we become?"
"Well, it was only 7 classes beside the ruler class, but now there is actually 15 classes believe it or not, as for us we became a Mooncancer class"
"Ehh? 15?! A Mooncancer??"
"A class made by an AI named BB who is….. I would say friendly enemy for Chaldea, her influence is the reason why I became a Mooncancer, unlike the main classes, I am not theoretically summonable, only my current Master is capable of summoning the other 7 classes like Mooncancer"
"And what is that princess's class?..."
(Sigh) "The same class sadly…."
"OH FOR GOD SAKE!-"
-After about 10 minutes they finally reached for her home
Past Ciel picked up the phone and looked at servant Ciel and said "The holy church will probably send Mario if we asked them for help, which is….. quite the trouble you know, I mean Arcueid is literally on the team and you know what that means"
"Yeah I know, it would give a lot of headache if decided to fight her even tho she is a servant right now, but thinking about it, Master didn't say not to mention her…. So maybe he have thought about it and saw no problem about it"
"I think it would be better to not mention her, also I would like you to tell me… what did he meant when he said he made his past self fall on the ground and that the church tortured him?"
"It is hard to put it in words…. When we first rayshifted to this singularity an error happened that caused a different rayshift years for the servants and the Master where we the servants were sent to 2027 inside this singularity and Master were sent to 2016, and yes he lived inside a singularity for 11 years where we found out that he gave up his Master's powers and had a family inside this singularity and he told us to go back to the past so that we can save Master when he still had his Master's power, but before we travelled to the past he gave us a piece of paper telling us that that paper will help us in solving the singularity if we gave it to his younger self and now it turned out he used a memory spell to transferred his memories from the future into the past, he probably did that to increase the efficiency of the investigation and boost his ability…. At least that what I am guessing, but to be frank... we have no idea what happened in that 11 years, moreover…. Master seems a bit different from before, he feels like he knew we will come after 11 years and to think that he thought of transferring his memory from the future to his past self so fast was a bit unusual….."
"….. 11 years... I don't think there is anyone on earth that could remain the same if they were stuck for 11 years without a way out inside a city like this, but how could a singularity keep to exist for 11 years? Moreover, there must be someone behind this, isn't it? Don't you know who are they?"
Servant Ciel crossed her arms while thinking and said "He didn't tell us, and I don't know why he didn't…. But I would like to trust him, Master has fought endless battles for years right now while leading hundreds of servants and he came out victorious alongside them, I will trust his decisions….. one thing that concern me is…. What did he mean when he said that the mastermind behind this singularity is powerful?..."
"From the reports that I read about Chaldea's missions, Master has defeated beings capable of destroying the world more than once, and I have fought alongside him against Arcueid herself and we won, so…. Did he mean that the mastermind is more powerful than everyone he has fought to this point or someone equal to them?..."

Meanwhile with the other team-
They are still walking in the streets of the night while Ritsuka and Shiki were chit chatting for the whole walk.
Mash smiled while thinking "(They really get along very well huh, I hope Shiki-san didn't forgot where we were going….)"
While Aoko & Arcueid were left over listening to their conversations "(Really…. Male teenagers are probably the simplest beings on earth, start a conversation and they will talk about everything without much a care…)"
"Anyway I am sure we finally reached the mansion" they walked a few more steps and they finally reached their destination, in front of them the Tohno mansion guarded by its gate.
Aoko stood there with a bit of shock "(Oh so this guy's family is rich af….. no wonder he is so carefree, how in the hell did I end up becoming his teacher to begin with?....)"
Everyone set eyes on the huge mansion except for Arcueid who stood still with a bit of hesitation, Ritsuka seemed to notice her state and told her "Move forward Arcueid, what you felt was a one time thing and it will never happen, you gotta trust me"
"Ah- I know that Chaldea-kun, no need to remind me!"
Shiki was a bit confused of Arcueid's behavior "Is she ok? Also what was she doing all that time? I never saw her for 4 months?"
Aoko immediately took a note and asked "4 Months? What day is this exactly Tohno-kun?"
"Hm? Ahhh- September 8 Thursday why?"
"Wait! Do you mean you all were living normal lives since May?! Was there really nothing abnormal that happened in the city? Moreover, Master… didn't you today that this is the 3rd day of the singularity? Then what is Shiki talking about….."
"No, I said that this MY 3rd day inside this singularity, as for your question for Shiki, I also asked him the same when I met him for the first time inside this singularity by myself…. And the answer is no, just your normal crimes that happens twice or once a month, but nothing beyond wolf threat"
"What do you mean by met me for the first time?" Shiki asked.
"To put it in simple words, let's say I was here and met you but after a week I went to the past and met you again, you won't remember our first meeting… that's all, don't think much about it you will probably get a headache"
"Ok I get that, but you didn't answer me about Arcueid, I honestly got worried thinking she won't come back and Ciel senpai wasn't helping me to find her, so I thought she went on a mission to hunt someone or something"
Arcueid immediately jumped to hug Shiki making him lose balance "Ohhh~ I knew you would miss me Shiki~, but really where did I go Chaldea-kun? Did something happen for my alive self?"
Ritsuka continued moving closer to the main door of the mansion and said "That is because….. inside this singularity at an unknown time which is possibly somewhere at those 4 months, Arcueid Brunested has completely died without leaving a trace…."
At that very moment everyone fell silent at his speech, Arcueid?.... Died?.... it feels like a joke to change the mood, but they could see the back of Ritsuka's eye and it seems like he mean it.
"Ah- me? Died? Hahaha…. Chaldea-kun did you forgot that I am earth itself? There is no one on this planet that has the capability to kill me ….. but if you say the truth, how did you know? You said for yourself, I didn't leave any trace right? Therefore there isn't a way for you to know"
Ritsuka simply turned his face to her and said "It is simple, you told me yourself that you died-"
Arcueid smiled "Oh so you are joking, hahahaha it really is not the right time to start this kin-"
"After I summoned you"
Arcueid eyes only widened at his words realizing what he meant, and Mash immediately connected what that meant "S-Senpai you…. You were able to summon Arcueid in your 11 years inside this singularity?!"
"Not exactly, I didn't summon Arcueid, by a miracle that I never expected I summoned Archetype Earth by herself or Arcueid's third form who came from the splendid timeline as you can call her, her memories was connected with Arcueid's and she told me that she died, but sadly she didn't know how"
Aoko stepped forward and asked "But Master-san, where was she when we met you 11 years in the future? !oh- could she be~"
"Once a Master loses his command seals he can't maintain the presence of his servant, and what do you think happened since I lost my command seals?" Ritsuka said calmly without flinching a much of an eye.
"Oh- yeah I completely forgot that hahaha..."
Ritsuka sighed and turned his face and started looking at the mansion then he said "I will explain more things tomorrow, you guys enter the mansion and explain everything to Akiha but don't tell her I went to check on the garden, I would like to see the garden that Arcueid felt fear at for another time, I won't take long"
"Un-understood senpai, we will wait for you inside"
Shiki sighed and said to Ritsuka "At least apologize for my sister when you come back ok? I never thought I would hear her using such a loud voice"
Ritsuka only laughed and went running to the garden that will probably take him a minute or two to reach with that speed while the rest entered the house and got welcomed by one of the maids.
"Oh Shiki-sama you finally came back, I see these girls are the quests that Akiha-sama told us about and it seems Arcueid-san is also with them, welcome at the Tohno mansion may I know your names? I am one of the Tohno maids, my name is Kohaku feel free to call me when you need anything"
Mash smiled and bowed to her and said "It is my honor to meet you miss Kohaku, my name is Mash Kyrielight please just call me Mash, and here is Aozaki Aoko and the other is just like you said Arcueid, thanks for having us here and sorry to trouble you"
"Kohaku… where is Akiha?" Shiki asked while sweating a little a bit knowing for a fact that she will lecture him once she come to see them."I am here!" And everyone looked at Akiha who was upstairs and started going down looking angry at Shiki.
"ah- I am ba-ck home" Shiki only started sweating more.
"Welcome back nee-sama, and welcome to the quests and Arcueid-san who left mysteriously for 4 months, did you enjoy having my brother being worried about you for 4 months?"
Arcueid got angry "Hey I could expl-" but she got cut off.
"Spare that I have no interest to hear it, as for you nee-sama, how many times DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO LEAVE THE MAGUS AND NOT INVOLVE THE HOUSE WITH THEIR BULLSHITNESS!"
"Ahh!- Akiha you should stop acting like you are my mother or something! I know what I am doing and these guys are not like any magus they are go-"
"Oh yeah you are right they are not like any magus, they are probably the worse! The information that they had about me is enough to prove that they were spying at us for a very long time, if they weren't magus I would have called the police immediately, now…." She looked at Mash who was holding the corsage and Aoko who was simply unsure what to do.
"Where is your leader or whoever the hell he was?"
Mash started sweating unsure what to do with Akiha knowing Ritsuka told her not to tell Akiha about what he is doing "Ah- could you please calm do-wn a little bit, my name is Mash Kyrielight thanks for havi-ng us here"
"Well, welcome miss Kyrielight, my name is Tohno Akiha and you miss?" She looked at Aoko who also was a bit lost about what to do.
"Ah- My name is Aozaki Aoko I- I am thankful for you having us here (Damn… I don't know what to say to these kind of people… I should hold my tone for the mean time until Master come back)"
"I see I will hear why you are here later, for now where is your leader? Clearly you both are not the leader, the voice that was on the phone was clearly for a teenager boy, so where is he? I would like a word or two with him before I decide to call the police or not"
"(How much angry did she get from the call between her and Ritsuka)"
Shiki smiled and then said "Akiha, you should know that the boy that was on the phone was actually Ri-"
??? "It is better if you leave the reveal for me at least Shiki" at that moment the door was opened again where the voice came from and the everyone looked at the boy who was well dressed with his smile on his face and his hand that waved at Akiha.
Akiha only crossed her arms and said "Took you long enough Mister, now who are you?"
"My family name is Fujimaru, I will let your imagination complete the name from here using this corsage" he moved closer to Mash and took the corsage and started slowly walking to Akiha and Shiki.
"What the hell are you talking about? And don't you start trying anything funn-" at that moment Ritsuka held the corsage to her face making Kohaku realize who he was before Akiha did and then he said "I used to give these kinds of flowers to you guys when I was child and when we were still playing tag together"
"Tag?...." and then an immediately realization came to Akiha while finally noticing the resembling that the boy in front of her had "You-!"
"You always used to be the careful one in the group and the fact that you became the head of the Tohno family shows that you've grown up to be a reliable woman, it is good to see you again Akiha" He smiled to her just like the child that Akiha remembers making her know for sure who he was.
"Ri-Ritsuka?! Is that you for real??!"
"Long time no see Akiha, glad you are ok"
Akiha stood completely speechless, the young boy that used to be younger than her is now standing taller than her and Shiki looking as if he is the same age as her or older.
"I bet you have a lot of questions, and I promise I will answer all of them but not now, until I make sure my team is well-rested I hope we postpone that until tomorrow, Kohaku-san could you take this corsage, oh- also, it is good to see you again you look beautiful in that dress"
"ah- Thank you Ritsuka-ku I mean Ritsuka-sama, it is also good to see you again, how long has it since last time we met… 10 years?"
"It is, now if you don't mind please lead both Aoko-san and Arcueid-san to their room, also could you tell Hisui to take us to our rooms"
Kohaku nodded and then Aoko and Arcueid followed her to their room, while Hisui finally came and had her meeting with Ritsuka who shocked her by his sudden appear.
Shiki sighed and thought "(Huh that actually worked well, good lord tomorrow will probably be tiring, I should also sleep) I am also going to bed, goodnight everyone"
"Goodnight for you too" Ritsuka waved for Shiki, but he noticed that Akiha was looking at him with a bit of concern therefore he told her "I could answer one question here and now if that could make you feel less concerned"
Her eyes went down but then she stood willingly wanting the answer for her question and then she finally spoke "Why…. Why did you become a mage?...."
"...." Quite the question, its answer can't be more obvious for Ritsuka who draw a smile when he spoke "Because I wanted to help others, that's all"
Akiha only closed her eyes on the answer then she opened them with a smile "Well, that sounds just like you when you were just a child….. I guess, goodnight for you"
"Goodnight for you too"
Then Ritsuka, Mash and Hisui went to their rooms, but Ritsuka went to Mash and told her that he has something to talk to her inside her room, so they entered and they started talking.
"What is it senpai?"
"I am not sure of this idea, but I think we should try to summon Arcueid's third form again just like I did in the 11 years"
"Huh, I am not against it, but may I ask why?"
"I could say that we will need more allies if we are going to solve this singularity, but I really want to know if me summoning her in the 11 years was a luck or fate….. do you think it is a bad idea if we tried?"
"ah- No of course, we can always try and you are right, it is always good to have more allies" then Mash transformed into her servant form and took her shield and placed it on the ground "I think this is enough to summon any servant, please go ahead senpa- I mean Master"
Ritsuka held his hand and took a deep breath "Here I go-" but then suddenly, the electricity went off making the room dark.
"HUH?"
"Electricity going off?, in Japan??"
"Maybe we should check on the electricity box, come on Mash" and they left the room and went down stairs to see the situation, nothing seems out of the ordinary for about 15 minutes while they were looking for the electricity box, maybe someone used a high electricity tool making it turn off, then they saw Kohaku and Aoko going with a light on her hand to the electricity box.
"Is everything ok? Does this happen usually?"
But Aoko only looked with confusion at Ritsuka "Huh? M-Master?..."
"Hm? Yes Aoko-san?"
"Ah- Nothing, I think the tiredness is getting me, I really should sleep" and then they fixed the electricity and everything went back to work, and they left to their rooms again.
"...."
Inside Mash's room-
"Ok let's continue Master!"
"....."
"Master?"
A silence went for a few seconds before Ritsuka lifted the shield and said "I changed my mind, thinking about it…. It has been so many years since I last did this and moreover there is the possibility of summoning a chaotic servant that will destroy the house, therefore I prefer to play this safe, sorry for the trouble Mash" and he gave the shield back to Mash.
"Ah- No it is ok Master, if that is your choice I will trust it"
"Alright then I am going to my room, goodnight"
"Goodnight for you too" and then Ritsuka went out of the room and went straight to his room where he thought with anger "(The shield….. has moved a few centimeters from its last position I am certain of that!...)

Section 7.1 : The First Move

-Inside Arcueid's & Aoko's room
The lights are off and it is mid night and both Arcueid and Aoko are trying to sleep but their minds are keep thinking with questions.
Looking at the ceiling Aoko thought with a sigh "(Of all the people, why did Master choose me to stay with Arcueid in the same room, I mean…. It is peaceful right now, but I know that won't last long…..)
"(But I need to focus, first things first…. If I consider all the information that we got to this point, I can't make a single guess on who is the mastermind, but could the reason of the creation of this singularity be the fact that Arcueid died?.... the idea of Arcueid dying is unbelievable to begin with…. Even with my knowledge about servants and history, I don't see anyone being capable of doing such a thing, it must be something far beyond normal means, a divine being? Which one is it?.....)
On the other bed where Arcueid is remembering what Ritsuka said "-You are connected in the creation of this singularity- & -The Tohno family is indirectly connected to the creation of this singularity-"
"(I am tired, but I can't get myself to not think about this, what did Chaldea-kun mean by that... moreover what did he mean that the mastermind will start his game soon once he senses our magical energy? What kind of game is he talking about?...)
"(Ahhh-! It is getting more complicated the more I think about it, I still refuse to believe that I got defeated by any means, he better explain everything tomorrow or I will force words out of his mouth!....)"
Then both Aoko and Arcueid slept awaiting the next day hoping for more answers to clear the confusion.

-Next morning September 9 Friday-
Aoko was slowly opening her eyes to see that it was finally morning "Ahh- Finally…. Man I feel well rested, but I feel like my senses are a bit weaker, I am probably still a bit sleepy therefore I just need to awake myself….. man this bed was really good, no wonder Ritsuka insisted on staying here….."
Looking around herself, it seems like Arcueid woke up before her and left, and the clock is at almost 9:00 AM "Ah that is not good…." She shook her head before getting out of bed and got out of the room to the halls where she ran immediately with Hisui.
Hisui bowed her head and greeted her "Oh- good morning Aoko-sama you finally woke up, I kept your breakfast warm until you wake up, do you want me to heat it for you?"
"Ah- Good morning Hisui-san, and ah- yes I would love that thank you, could you tell me where Mas- I mean Ritsuka and the rest are?"
Hisui lifted her head up and said "Yes, Ritsuka-sama and Akiha-sama and the rest are all in the living room having tea and conversations, please follow me this way"
After following Hisui for about a minute they reached the living room down stairs "They all are here if you need anything please just ask me, I will get your breakfast"
Then Hisui left and Aoko entered the room where she saw that Ritsuka and Mash were sitting on one coach and there was Akiha and Shiki sitting on the opposite coach and Arcueid on the third coach alone by herself but a bit close to Shiki, and there was Kohaku who was smiling and handing over tea cups, and it seemed like that all of them were listening to Ritsuka's talk whatever it was.
At that moment Ritsuka noticed her and sighed "Took you long enough Aoko…. I don't remember that you were this sleepy~"
"Eh- BECAUSE I AM NO- no wait you are right I am sorry, I- I don't know what come into me, I will make sure this won't happen again…" Almost raged at him but she decided to stay calm.
"Anyway did I miss something beside breakfast?"
"Well yeah, I finished explaining almost everything the team needed to know about 10 minutes ago, and now I was only answering questions that came from curiosity"
"Huh?! Wait a minute- Weren't you supposed to wait for me if you are gonna explain important information?!, WHY DID NO ONE AWAKE ME UP?!"
Arcueid only smirked and said "That sounds like your problem for not being able to wake up Miss Blue~"
"You shut up AND DON"T CALL ME THAT AGA-" but her speech was cut by the sudden voice of the phone in the room that started ringing.
Kohaku left the tea on the table and said "I have it" then she picked up the phone "Hello there, this is the Tohno Mansion phone may I know who you are?"
Only for it to turn out to be a familiar voice "Kohaku-san this is me Ciel, is Ritsuka-san in the mansion with you guys?"
"Oh Ciel-san of course he is here, Ritsuka-sama it is Ciel-san on the phone and she wants to talk to you" then Ritsuka got up and took the phone from Kohaku "Thanks Kohaku-san couldn't think of more perfect timing than this for Ciel to call"
"This is Ritsuka Ciel-senpai, did you guys call the church this fast? Who did they send?"
"Great, and yes Master they told us that they are coming and I told them to meet us in the school since this is Friday and schools are closed therefore we could use it for meetings right now, as for who they are sending I think it would be a guy named Mario Gallo Bestino, he is rea-"
"I am well aware of who is Mario, anyway great job and great decision of choosing the school, when did they say they will be arriving?"
"Y-you know Mario? Did you meet him in your 11 years inside this singularity? Anyway they said at least 2 hours and they will be here, so I will wait for you Master here with my other version"
"Great, but I have a different idea that I would like you to go along with….. I won't be the one to meet with Mario, but instead I will send both Mash and Aoko while Mash act as the leader, and I want you to keep my identity as a secondary team helper only"
"Ah? But why am I may ask?"
"I have a plan and I need to stay away from being any direct connect with any one beside our team... AND I hate Mario OK! So just play along with this, even if he realized that Mash is not the leader then I want you to cover her and keep lying to him, does it sound too bad or too much?"
Ciel sighed before saying "Alright Master, we will do that I will trust your plan whatever it is…." Then she hanged up.
Ritsuka put down the phone and turned to the others in the room "Alright good news, the church will be coming and they will need to meet with us to insure that our mission is safe and sound and NOW" he looked at Mash and then looked at Aoko and said "Aoko and Mash, you two will go and meet with the church in the school and you Mash will act as if you are the leader of this group is that alright?"
Mash and Aoko looked confused until Mash spoke "It is alright with me but why? Senpai you are the leader therefore… shouldn't you be the one to meet with them?"
"I agree with Mash, if someone here should go to convince them to help us it should be you and not only the two of us, so would you mind explaining why you are not going?"
"4 Reasons :
1- I want Mash to explain for you and Ciel all the information that we spoke of a few minutes ago.
2- The holy church would try their best to turn the mystery of this singularity into their management thinking they can solve it by themselves, but I would like to represent for them Aoko who is from a special magus bloodline which will mean that this problem is not limited for the people of this city but also to the whole magus world.
3- Mario has a sharp intuition, if we use Mash as an example in front of him he will easily deduce our true intentions and we will have better chance in them helping us.
4- I can bet that Ciel didn't tell them anything about Arcueid being with us, therefore we will keep her here until the right time, the holy church and Arcueid has ahhhh a long history to say so I would like to minimize the problems to the least level of concern.
Aoko and Mash stood there speechless of how fast he have thought about all of that until Aoko spoke "I- I see, it is not like my bloodline is all that great but yeah you are right, alright I understood all of that but that doesn't explain why you are not going with us….."
"If they saw that both Ciel and Aoko were being ordered by a random magus like me, wouldn't they underestimate the situation? As long as I don't show up for the meantime they will keep reconsidering how much important the situation is"
Aoko stood still before she took a deep breath and said "Alright this doesn't sound bad at all, we will go with this Master for now, when the right time comes you have to reveal yourself alright? We will be leaving now- oh and tell Hisui-san that I won't take my breakfast"
"Great, take care and make sure both Ciels get the information we shared here alright Mash?"
Mash nodded and both Aoko and her left the room and then left the mansion heading immediately to the school where it will probably take them 10-15 minutes to reach.
Ritsuka went back to the coach and smiled "Man…. It feels like a decade since the last time I felt like a leader, sure it doesn't feel the same since I gave that up to get married…"
Both Akiha and Shiki spitted out their teas to say "Wait what?! YOU GOT MARRIED???"
"Oh- not exactly I did get married later but here and now I am not married, because I was supposed to live in this city for the next 11 years if my team didn't come here"
"You mean you saw the future?"No, I lived it for real, and I met you guys there and had our reunion for the true first time even tho it was different from this"
Shiki got curious and asked with a smile "Would you tell us what happened there"
"Well…. Since I didn't really had anything better to do I just completed my study and we went to college together, we went everywhere and met with a lot of people and made new relationships and I was lucky that once I graduated I went and proposed for the girl I fell in love and happily I got married and had a family with her and continued our life normally"
Shiki's smile got happier "Man congratulation, guess you won in life, but what about us, me, Akiha and Ciel…. What happened to us?"
Ritsuka only laughed and smiled "I don't want to spoiler anything, but I assure you all of you got a happy life, so you have to wait for it…."
"Then may I ask you Ritsuka-sama who was the lucky girl to end up to be your wife?~" Kohaku smiled with the question that got her curious.
Shiki raised an eye brow of curiosity and Akiha took her tea cup acting as if she is not interested to know and there is Arcueid who smirked and started waving with her hand back and forth and said.
"He is not gonna say her name, he said he wants to keep her for himself didn't you Chaldea-kun~"
"That was no-" and his speech was cut off where Arcueid stepped forward and said.
"If I were to make a guess on who is she, I would sayyyyyyy~" then she pointed her finger at the girl next to Shiki.
"It is Shiki's sister! Tohno Akiha!"
Akiha spitted her tea once again and while being frustrated and said "Wh-what?! Don't be ridiculo-"
"Think about it! You two were childhood friends, I don't know what that even means to begin with but I know you knew each other before and now that you got another chance to meet I can easily guess that Chaldea-kun with his big heart would open his heart for you, am I wrong Chaldea-kun?~"
Akiha felt even more shy not knowing what to say to her so she just looked at Ritsuka waiting for his answer while Shiki observed the situation not knowing what to really think right now.
But Ritsuka only sighed and laughed where he finally spoke "First of all Arcueid, I said that I don't want to say her name only and not to keep her for myself how does that even work? And second of all, the girl in front us is not my wife so don't go make random guesses to confuse everyone"
Akiha got relieved a little bit and sighed while Arcueid got angry "AHH!- come on! Are you really willing to keep her name from all of us until the end?!"
"Yes now please sit down for god sake"
And then she sat down, and Shiki looked fixed his glasses while thinking "(Well… that was a hell of roller coaster of feelings, not saying I didn't enjoy that, really it is fun to around you guys)"

-With Aoko & Mash who finally reached the school-
