Staring into those deep, crimson pupils, Lyra held her breath, the muscles in her waist that had just relaxed tensed up again, allowing Astrid to run her fingers across her cheek.
"Does it still hurt?" Astrid asked.
After being treated with a water healing spell, the wound on Lyra's cheek had stopped bleeding, and it looked no different from before, still delicate and beautiful.
Of course, this was assuming one ignored the bloodstains still lingering on her skin.
Feeling the warmth of Astrid's fingers, Lyra swallowed, her ears slightly warm, and answered in a soft voice.
