Chapter 499 - Chapter 485: Ai Want to be a Mother

The early morning sunlight slipped through the gaps in the curtains, casting soft beams across the girl's long, purple hair.

But the girl continued sleeping soundly, completely unaffected.

Perhaps she was simply exhausted—yesterday had been far too intense, crazy, and unbelievable even for her.

So now, she slept more deeply than usual.

Time passed quietly.

Bit by bit.

Slowly approaching noon.

Only then did Hoshino Ai begin to stir.

Her long eyelashes trembled slightly.

She hadn't opened her eyes yet, but she let out a faint, sleepy hum before stretching her body. The moment she did, a sharp twinge went through her.

Her delicate brows knitted together.

Then she finally opened her eyes.

The first thing she saw was the boy lying beside her pillow.

A warm smile spread across Hoshino Ai's lips.

"Dear Miss Hoshino Ai, you finally woke up. My arm has completely gone numb," Haruto teased, smiling.

Hearing that, Hoshino Ai didn't raise her head.

Instead of releasing his numb arm, she pressed her cheek against it, rubbing gently like a lazy cat refusing to wake up.

After quite a while, she finally pushed herself upright—only for another wave of discomfort to hit her.

Her brows tightened again as she placed a hand on her lower abdomen, lost in thought.

Haruto had already been awake for some time.

Naturally, he got up, slipping into his clothes.

Seeing him get dressed, Hoshino Ai suddenly panicked and rushed forward as if afraid he would leave.

Haruto chuckled, rubbing her hair.

"I'm going to get you some food. Aren't you hungry?"

The moment she heard he wasn't leaving, Ai relaxed instantly.

"I want to drink the porridge that Haru makes!" she added, raising her hand like a child making a demanding request.

Haruto nodded without hesitation and went to prepare breakfast—or rather, dinner, considering the time.

Given her condition, Haruto chose to make porridge, tossing in some white fungus to nourish her body.

The moment it finished cooking, the fragrance drifted out of the kitchen—so tempting that Hoshino Ai walked out without even waiting.

"Put your pants on—hey!" Haruto barked in disbelief.

It was already autumn.

Even if the floor heating in the villa kept things warm, running around pantsless was absolutely outrageous.

Hoshino Ai only giggled and tried to brush it off.

Haruto sighed helplessly, pulling out a pair of velvet trousers and handing them to her. Only then did she put them on.

At the dining table, Hoshino Ai's left hand remained over her lower abdomen.

"Uncomfortable?" Haruto asked while serving the porridge.

What he got in return was a bombshell.

"Can I get pregnant?"

Haruto froze for a moment, then pressed a hand to his forehead.

"Is Ai alright? If you get pregnant, your idol career will be affected a lot."

Even if Hoshino Ai was now a national idol, a phenomenon-level star—she was still, at the end of the day, a girl idol.

If news broke that she had a boyfriend, became pregnant, or had a child, her fanbase would inevitably collapse.

And Ai… genuinely liked being an idol.

"Although I love being an idol," she said seriously, "I love Haru even more. So I am willing to take responsibility."

Her path had already deviated drastically from her original fate.

But hearing her say it out loud—declaring that she was willing to accept the consequences—still left Haruto momentarily stunned.

Perhaps worried he didn't believe her, Ai suddenly stood up in a panic.

"Everything I said is true! I'm not lying—I'm completely ready to take responsibility as a mother!"

Seeing the anxious girl, Haruto gently guided her back into her seat.

"Of course I believe you. But something like this depends on probability."

The instant she heard that, Hoshino Ai broke into a radiant smile.

She knew Haruto's situation well. If he said it depended on probability, that meant there was a real chance.

Now all she needed to do was wait.

And if it didn't work this time—there would be next time.

And after that, another time.

Watching her excitement, Haruto rubbed his forehead.

Forget it.

Let fate—or rather, probability—decide.

As the perfect evolution of the Blacklight Virus, Haruto could actually control such things. But he had just finished cleansing Hoshino Ai's body of the virus.

So for now, it truly did depend on chance.

After finishing two large bowls of porridge, Hoshino Ai rushed straight back into the bedroom.

According to her, she'd been too busy with idol work before, had finally earned a vacation, and now intended to "sleep until she couldn't sleep anymore."

Haruto didn't disturb her.

He stepped out of the forest villa for a moment.

At the door, he pulled out his phone and called Miyako Saitou.

After a few rings, she picked up immediately.

"President," Miyako Saitou said, her voice slightly tense.

"Miss Saitou," Haruto said gently, "please take care of that child for me."

Miyako Saitou froze. Then quickly answered,

"O-Okay! I'll be right there."

After hanging up, Miyako Saitou took a deep breath.

She knew exactly why Hoshino Ai took leave to come to Kanagawa.

As Ai's agent, her concern for the girl had long surpassed professional boundaries. She was practically Ai's mother—caring about her life, her safety, her work.

Hearing Haruto's request, she almost felt like her "child" was getting married.

A feeling of despair and emptiness surged within her—but she swallowed it down immediately.

She rushed out of the agency, heading to the parking lot and choosing a private car instead of the company vehicles, which the paparazzi memorized.

And so, Miyako Saitou sped toward the forest villa.

Two hours after the call, she arrived.

Haruto was waiting outside.

"Miss Saitou," he said softly, "I leave Ai to you."

Miyako Saitou was startled.

She thought he would have left long ago.

"Don't worry, President," she said. "I'll take good care of that child."

With that, she walked past him and entered the villa.

She went to Hoshino Ai's room and knocked. When there was no response, she pushed the door open and froze at the disaster inside the room.

Her eyelid twitched.

"Aunt, you're here!" Ai said happily from the bed.

Miyako Saitou rarely corrected her about the "aunt" title.

"How do you feel? Are you uncomfortable anywhere? If something hurts, don't hide it," she said firmly.

Though Miyako Saitou had zero real-life experience, she'd seen too much in the entertainment industry.

Her professionalism overpowered everything else now.

Ai smiled and shook her head.

"It's totally fine. Actually… it felt pretty comfortable."

Miyako Saitou's mouth twitched.

Some things didn't need to be said out loud.
