The flames rose up within moments, engulfing the whole tent. Wei Tingche stepped back in satisfaction and moved to another location. He had to move quickly so as not to be found out.
By the time the first soldier noticed the fire, both of the tents were already burnt beyond repair and was still flaming.
"Fire! Fire! The general's tents!"
The alarm tore through the night like a blade.
"Get the water lines! Move!"
The camp dissolved into slight disorder before picking up the pace to get things under control exactly as he intended.
Wei Tingche went to the dungeons and without a word, he released the chains on Fu Ling's legs.
"You can go."
Fu Ling stood up and stretched his legs. It's been a while since he could kick his legs without feeling the weight of those chains.
But there was another issue in hand. He heard the sounds from outside and now Wei Tingche was here. Obviously water went wrong was his doing.
"What did you do?"
Wei Tingche sighed helplessly.
