Fu Ling walked straight to the empty chair in the middle and made himself comfortable. He noticed several eyes on him but whenever he turned to meet them, they would lower their head.
He wasn't in the mood to play peekaboo with these people so he waved an arm lightly.
"Let's begin."
He noticed them exchange subtle glances with their partners and Fu Ling felt annoyed.
"If you don't have anything to say, I'll be off now."
An old man frowned deeply.
"You're way too impatient for a leader."
Fu Ling met his gaze head-on.
"And you are way to the slow to get to the point for people who insisted on this meeting. You have to know that this was not part of my previous schedule. Make it fast and spare me the conspiratorial looks."
The man took in a shakey breath but said nothing else.
Ji Yanlin, the youngest in that group and was well respected for being able to hold this position at the age of thirty-two, stood up.
He straighted his suit and addressed Fu Ling casually.
