(Author's POV)
"Thank you, Myra. I am so grateful that you gave me this chance," Amy said, her voice choking at the end. Myra remained expressionless, blankly staring at her while she poured her heart out, "When I heard you were in a brutal accident, I felt my world collapsing. I thought~ …. I thought after finding you, I had lost you once again." As her words finished, she was crying, painful sobs escaped her mouth.
Myra tried to show no emotions, but her grip tightened on either side. She had countless questions she wanted answers to. In that moment, she wanted to scream and shout, letting it all out. Her resentment, her disappointment, her fears. She has lost count of how many times she felt inadequate, thinking that her family abandoned her at birth.
