'From the information I have gathered, Alaric Everests despises human beings, and according to what Myra told me, they were always at odds when she was in Kimberg. So, there is no way he has any feelings for her,' Fabian was trying to convince himself, giving every reason he could think of.
He was so indulged in his own thoughts that he totally forgot that he wasn't alone. He was back at the Crown Opulence, in the CEO's office, standing before his grandfather and his secretary. The former wasn't very pleased by Fabian's recent behaviour.
Jacob called out to him, "Fabian …. Fabian …...?" But Fabian didn't respond. Not being able to control his temper any longer, Jacob then bellowed at him, his voice thunderous, snapping Fabian back to reality, "What is up with you?" He threw a document his way. "Just tell me clearly, what the hell is going on with you, Fabian?"
