No one knew what was going on, but even an idiot could tell that it stemmed from that tower. It was the root of all disturbance.
The commanders were just about to relay their orders to their subordinates when Conrad stopped them.
"What's wrong, Sir Conrad?"
The commander of the Knights of the Enduring Spirit did not speak and continued to stare at the tower in a daze. Finally, a grave expression crossed his face, and he couldn't help but sigh in desolation.
"That spire of corruption evoked some bad and nostalgic memories. I couldn't recognise it at a glance as the events transpired more than thirty five years ago. I wanted to deny it; however, no matter how I look, there is simply no denying the truth."
Conrad pointed with his sword cane at the tower.
"That thing right there is no simple tower but the labyrinth formed by one of the Seven Ultimate Demonic Treasures, the Abyssal Compass."
"What?!!"
