Among the many unit heads included familiar faces—Zarek, Arnold, Lawrence, Everlong, Lian Yu, Anaya, Pan, Miranda, Esimo—each one was a lieutenant now.
The captains included Captain Jackson, Bianca, Nuel, and Cyco, who had been promoted to Captains on the day of Kailen's promotion, too, were present. They were now in charge of their own units. They were not here because they were Kailen's friends. They were here because they were competent, and the operation about to be embarked on required the best operatives at the base on it.
There were several other really outstanding captains present too.
