The Frontlines station was huge. It floated in space like a giant fortress.
Outside the ship, Kailen saw small ships moving extremely fast between big platforms, as lights flashed and explosions glowed in the distance. Smoke and fire rose from damaged ships.
The place felt alive — and deadly.
As Kailen, Lian Yu, and the others stepped off the ship, they saw soldiers being carried on stretchers. Some were badly wounded, covered in blood. Others were already dead, their faces pale, eyes closed forever. The sight made a chill run through several individuals.
The giant captain appeared. He was huge — about five meters tall. His massive axe remained strapped across his chest, covered in its sheath.
The giant captain's presence was suffocating, a testament that the battlefield had tried and tested him.
"Welcome to the Frontlines," he said.
