Lilith stirred beneath the covers, her lashes fluttering as her consciousness slowly returned. She blinked several times, her eyes adjusting to her surroundings. It didn't take her long to realise where she was and who was with her.
For a while, she simply lay there, listening to the sound of his breathing. He was still asleep, his breath fanning softly against her hair.
A soft smile curved her lips as she carefully lifted her head to look up at him, admiring his face. He looked so calm and relaxed, his dark lashes casting faint shadows over his cheeks, his brows at ease, his lips slightly parted.
Her heart swelled, a soothing warmth spreading through her chest. He was beautiful. She loved watching him like this, peaceful in his sleep. It satisfied something deep within her.
