"How do I kill that thing?!"
She yelled out to the garden fairy, gasping for breath as she ran, her breathing ragged, her lungs burning, and her legs growing weak with exhaustion, but she knew she couldn't stop, not until she was certain the others had gotten away.
The goo creature was still hot on her heels, the sticky sound of its footsteps growing louder behind her.
"I don't know how! I'm not familiar with this world's monsters!" Lala cried out, grasping Coco's dark strands tighter to keep her from getting whisk away from the wind.
Coco did not know how long she could keep this up, running blindly through the forest and hoping to escape the creature's grasp. It's not like she can pull out the map out of her bag to navigate herself through the forest, right?
Coco only pushed herself harder, her legs burning with pain as she pumped them faster, her eyes fixed on the path ahead of her.
