Alithe only gave a curt nod towards the vice captain, his expression switching from his condescending one to a serious one.
"We're heading out!" He announced and almost immediately, the guards to fall into step, and they obeyed the guild master without hesitation.
After what Alithe told her, she didn't want to walk with him anymore, but she's the one who will be leading the group across the forest so she had no choice, but to fall into step beside him, her face betraying none of the turmoil she was feeling inside.
The group of guards followed them out of the village gates and towards the south, the trees of the forest slowly looming in front of them.
The terrain grew more rugged over time as they moved further into the forest, the ground covered with loose rocks and roots, but the guards moved silently, their movements smooth and efficient as they carefully made their way through the forest.
