The chakra scalpel was extremely effective against Taijutsu specialists.
This was why Kazuyama had recommended that Rin learn it — it could help her protect herself, assist teammates, and defeat enemies.
Now, wielding her scalpel against Might Guy, she was completely dominating the fight.
You could tell just by looking at Guy, whose right hand hung limply at his side.
One wrong move, and his muscles would be sliced — his right hand was already unusable.
"Damn it, this technique counters me too much!"
"I have to dodge!"
Faced with Rin's relentless assault, Guy was panicking.
Just as Rin swung her chakra scalpel once more, Guy suddenly roared,
"Eight Inner Gates, First Gate, Open!"
A surge of chakra exploded from him. His speed skyrocketed, and he dodged Rin's attack in an instant.
Rin was momentarily surprised — she hadn't expected Guy to have that much explosive power — but she quickly regained her composure and prepared her next strike.
Guy grinned.
"Rin, you think you can defeat me like this? My youth won't be crushed so easily!"
The spectators around the arena were stunned, except for Might Duy, who stood at a distance, smiling proudly.
"Guy! Burn your youth! Show everyone your effort and your strength!"
But no one paid much attention to Duy's roar — all eyes were locked onto Guy.
"Kinjutsu, Eight Inner Gates..."
"Kakashi, never underestimate anyone," Kazuyama said, breaking Kakashi's shock. "Even if Guy only knows Taijutsu, with this Kinjutsu, he can defeat anyone."
Hearing this, Kakashi silently nodded, though he still didn't think too much of it.
"If that's all he's got, I'm not afraid. My Lightning Body Technique has already moved to the next stage. I'm completely..."
"Eight Inner Gates, Second Gate, Gate of Healing, open!"
"Eight Inner Gates, Third Gate, Gate of Life, open!"
With three gates opened in succession, Guy's skin flushed red, and the terrifying chakra aura even stirred the air around him.
Kazuyama nodded quietly to himself. Based on his observations, Guy's limit right now was three gates.
The first three gates were relatively easier to control and didn't put too much strain on the body, but Guy was still too young — opening three gates was already his limit.
"Kakashi, what were you trying to say just now?"
"Nothing... Sensei, you and Father were right. He's a worthy opponent. I won't underestimate him anymore."
What else could Kakashi say?
Guy, after opening three gates, radiated an overwhelming pressure. Even Kakashi had to admit — against a Guy like this, he wasn't sure he could win.
Amid the stunned stares of the crowd, Guy launched himself forward, speeding toward Rin.
His figure blurred into a green flash — a residual image created by moving at incredible speeds.
Rin swung her chakra scalpel defensively, but Guy twisted his body along a bizarre trajectory and slipped right through her defenses.
Leaping high into the air, he spun and kicked toward Rin.
Rin couldn't dodge in time and was sent flying several meters. Guy's speed was so fast she barely had time to react.
"Sorry, Rin!"
"I win this battle!"
Guy ignored the damage from the Eight Inner Gates, his voice full of heroic spirit.
He prepared to strike again, moving as fast as lightning.
"No way, Guy!"
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Just as Guy was about to reach Rin, a massive fireball flew in from the side, cutting across his path.
Guy immediately halted and retreated a few steps to put distance between them.
The fireball roared past — Obito had come to Rin's aid.
At that moment, Obito looked a bit disheveled but was filled with fighting spirit.
His opponents, Ebisu and Genma, had already lost their ability to continue fighting.
"Ah, I didn't break through?"
"No problem, Ebisu, Genma! Watch me turn the tide!"
The defeat of his teammates didn't dampen Guy's spirits — it only fired up his will to fight even more.
But then, Obito suddenly grinned.
The spectators were puzzled by his strange smile — and in the next moment, the entire arena erupted in uproar.
"Earth Release... Hiding Like a Mole Technique..."
With the activation of the technique, Obito disappeared into the ground, leaving only Rin standing on the platform.
"I don't know what that technique was," Rin said, her expression serious, "but our sensei taught us: the more powerful a technique, the greater the risk, and the shorter its duration."
"From now on, we'll only defend until you exhaust yourself."
The blue chakra around Rin's hands shifted to green, no longer flowing outward but reinforcing her body internally.
The Mystical Palm Technique — a healing ninjutsu.
It was clear Rin was no longer planning to fight back. She had shifted from offense to a defensive stance.
What had been a two-on-one battle was now strangely passive.
Rin's words caused the Konoha spectators to turn their gazes toward Kazuyama.
He stood there with a satisfied smirk, clearly proud of his disciple's decision.
Kakashi tried to back away, but Kazuyama grabbed him firmly.
"Where are you going?"
"Is there a problem with my tactics?"
"If we can win, we fight. If we can't, we run. If the enemy attacks, we defend."
"When the enemy retreats, we advance. When they hold their ground, we harass. When they tire, we attack. When they flee, we chase!"
"What are you looking at? My tactics are the best! Learn them well."
Kazuyama wasn't fazed by the stares — not even slightly!
He kept loudly preaching his "Way of Survival."
Listening to him, many people looked speechless.
Was it really necessary to justify being so shameless so confidently?
Still, some thought he had a point.
Against a stronger opponent, saving your strength and waiting for an opportunity was a smart move.
At this stage, the battle was already over in all but name.
Guy understood his situation clearly — if Rin and Obito attacked him with all they had, he might still have a chance.
But now Obito was nowhere to be found, and even if he turned into a drilling machine, there was no way he could dig him out in time.
"Dammit! Kazuyama-sensei's tactics are too sneaky!"
"I admit defeat!"
Guy dispersed the chakra of the Eight Inner Gates, looking at Kazuyama with a face full of unwillingness, while the latter chuckled mischievously.
