Chapter 186 - Biscuit Call

Watching Ikshanpe's retreating form disappear, Larry's thoughts suddenly shifted.

'What if this could really work?'

He had an idea. A crazy one.

Since Porygon Z could open portals to the digital world, could he travel through that world to reach other locations in the real world?

For example, if Porygon Z opened a portal in the United States of Saherta, and Larry entered the online world there…

Could he then move through cyberspace to a corresponding digital location in the Kakin Kingdom? And then open another exit, stepping out directly into that distant land?

If that were possible, it would be a kind of super-advanced teleportation. No limits. No constraints. You could appear anywhere in the world. Maybe even at the base of the World Tree on the edge of the Dark Continent.

Larry immediately asked Porygon Z if this was something they could pull off. Unfortunately, the answer wasn't as optimistic as he'd hoped.

Porygon Z's current ability relied on existing networks. It couldn't create data connections yet, it could only use what was already there.

That meant this method could work across most of the Six Continents, which were full of connected cities, towns, and devices. But remote, unconnected areas? Or the Dark Continent, where civilization hadn't touched? That was a different story.

No network, no access.

Still, it wasn't a dead end. If Porygon Z's ability evolved even further, if it could one day create its own network infrastructure, instead of relying on existing ones, then Larry's vision could become reality.

For now, though, Larry wasn't disappointed. Porygon Z was already an amazing tool. The fact that it could teleport people and objects to most places in the world in just seconds was incredible enough.

Sure, it burned a lot of Aura to do it. But as Porygon Z got stronger, that cost would drop. Its efficiency would improve. What seemed like a rare, costly trick now might one day become routine.

Larry was starting to realize that Porygon Z wasn't just useful. It might be one of the most important Pokémon on his team, maybe even the most important, depending on how far it could grow.

After upgrading Porygon Z, Larry and Menchi continued their journey across Greed Island. Over the next few months, they visited nearly every corner of the game world.

They sampled all kinds of strange and rare delicacies, each one offering its own strange flavor or magical effect. They also encountered a number of powerful and bizarre cards, each carrying its own mystery and charm.

One such card was Card [Honey-Sprout Tree]. A mystical tree whose branches sprout with sweet, high-quality honey. The honey can be harvested endlessly, and its rich flavor remains unmatched, making it a prized resource for travelers and traders alike.

Take another example: the S-level card [Harvest Tree]. It grows all kinds of fruits, and after each harvest, it'll bear a new batch the next day, again, random in both type and quantity. These fruits all taste amazing, truly worthy of an S-class ranking.

Since their goal was clear, Larry and menchi focused on collecting food-related cards. With Larry's strength, even S-level cards weren't hard to get their hands on.

While Larry and his friends were enjoying their laid-back journey across Greed Island, Gon and his companions had also arrived on the island. Just like in the original events, they soon ran into Biscuit Krueger and began a brutal training regimen. Slowly but surely, each of them started forming their own Nen abilities.

Thanks to Biscuit, a seasoned pro when it comes to Nen, Gon and Killua quickly saw huge improvements. She might look like a little girl, but she's practically a gold-medal coach in the world of Nen.

As long as she accepts you as her student and you're willing to put in the effort, the results come fast, like rocket-speed fast. And the best part? No side effects.

As more players collected cards, the atmosphere around Greed Island grew heavier. The tension thickened, no one knew who would come out on top in the end.

Larry, who had been traveling casually until now, finally encountered something that pulled him into the action.

In the coastal city of Soffrabi, Gon, Killua, Biscuit, and the gorilla-like player Goreinu were seated in a small restaurant.

Not long ago, they had challenged Razor and the pirate team in hopes of obtaining the card 'One Ping of Coastline'. Unfortunately, their first attempt failed, their current teammates just weren't strong enough.

Now they were stuck, racking their brains trying to figure out who they could team up with.

"So, have you come up with anyone?" Goreinu asked, his voice gruff as he leaned back in his chair.

Gon and Killua both shook their heads. They had scrolled through the contact list again and again, but still couldn't find anyone suitable.

Things had changed compared to the original timeline. Since Chrollo hadn't been restrained by Kurapika this time, Hisoka never had a reason to track him down, and so he never came to Greed Island.

There was no "Chrollo" name in Gon's address book for Hisoka to chase, which left them short one potential powerhouse.

"Looks like I'll have to call in those two," Biscuit said calmly, resting her chin on her small hands. Despite her cute, childlike appearance, her tone was confident and composed.

If those two joined in, this whole Razor situation would be dealt with in no time.

"Biscuit, who are you talking about?" Gon asked, clearly confused. 'Did Biscuit actually know someone strong in this game world?'

"I mean, even if you bring two people, would it really help? We need more than that," Killua said, lounging back with his arms behind his head, clearly doubtful.

To him, the difference in strength between them and Razor was way too big, two more players wouldn't tip the scales.

That's what he thought, until Biscuit gave him a quick glance and casually dropped the name.

"One of them is Larry."

Her words were simple, but the impact was anything but.

"Pfft, !" Gon, who had just taken a sip of water, choked and sprayed it all over the table, coughing in surprise.

He wiped his mouth quickly, still processing what he'd just heard.

"Wait, Biscuit, did you just say Larry? Larry's on Greed Island?"

Killua, now fully alert, had also dropped his casual posture and leaned forward, eyes wide.

"Yeah. I ran into them, two days before you entered the game," Biscuit replied as if she were talking about the weather.

She thought back to that meeting in 2009. Not long after that, she bumped into Gon and started focusing on training the two boys, so she hadn't seen Larry since. Still, his presence here was undeniable.

Fortunately, the address book showed that both of them were still logged in, meaning they hadn't left Greed Island yet.

"If it's Larry…" Gon started to say, but halfway through, his eyes met Killua's. Without needing to finish the thought, they both said it at the same time, perfectly in sync,

"There's no way we'll lose!"

Numbers aside, just having Larry on the team already felt like a guaranteed win.
