Waves of Nen exploded from his body like a solar flare, so intense it twisted the air and made his robe flap violently. Every movement carried weight, like a living storm had taken shape in human form.
His hair didn't rise up like a Super Saiyan, but the pressure he exuded? Just as overwhelming.
For Ging, this was finally fun. The real battle had begun.
This, this was Ging's power as an S-level Nen user. And yet, he still wasn't going all out. Out of nowhere, two figures appeared beside him. Identical in every way, same face, same aura, even the same posture. They were perfect copies of Ging.
His clones.
Nen Ability: Double Clone – Emission-Type.
He could summon up to two fully functional clones that shared his mind, abilities, and vision. The cost? Triple the usual Nen consumption. But in exchange, each clone was just as dangerous as the original.
That meant the Gildrosia weren't just fighting Ging, they were up against three of him. Three S-rank powerhouses at once.
BOOM!
The battlefield exploded with coordinated strikes. The three Gings moved in perfect sync, their attacks overwhelming. Even the Plants with heads that could split to dodge were no match.
One by one, their heads were blasted apart, fragments scattering across the floor. As the first Plants fell, the fate of the rest seemed inevitable. "Huh?" Larry, who'd been watching the fight unfold with keen interest, suddenly frowned and looked up sharply, sensing something off.
"What is it?" Pyon asked, pausing mid-keystroke. The moment he followed Larry's gaze, his pupils narrowed.
"…This is, "
A blur dropped from a nearby window.
It was another Gildrosia, leaping down from the upper floor like a missile. Target: Larry and Pyon. The force of gravity amplified its speed. There was barely any time to dodge.
Snap.
A flash of orange shot through the air. Before the Plants could land its strike, a flaming fist slammed into it mid-fall.
Fire-Type Nen Ability: Flame Fist!
BANG!
The punch connected with explosive power. The Gildrosia was launched sideways, its body smashing into the side of the building like a rag doll. It crumpled and slid down the wall, unmoving. Its head was crushed, completely shattered, and the parasitic plant inside burned to nothing in the flames.
The orange figure landed smoothly and returned to Larry's side, a low growl rumbling from its throat.
"Roaaar~" It was Dragonite.
Ging, having just cleared the last of the nearby Plants, caught sight of the new arrival. His sharp gaze locked onto the creature standing beside Larry.
'That Nen beast…Its aura is strong. Very strong.'
Even though Dragonite wasn't actively releasing any energy, Ging could tell, this was no ordinary summon. It stood on the same level as him.
'So young and already this powerful?
No wonder the Seven Deadly Sins ran into trouble…' He studied Dragonite closely.
Orange-and-white scales. That upright, dragon-like frame. The innocent, dopey-looking face. It didn't match the description he'd heard from Satotz, the one about a massive steel monster.
'Wait… don't tell me… He actually has two of these Nen beasts?'
Thinking of this, Ging's eyelids twitched slightly, and a wave of shock surged through his chest.
Based on what Larry had shown so far, Ging realized, there were at least three beings with strength on par with himself. Larry himself, that dragon-type nen beast… and then the steel giant.
And who knew if there were even more that Larry hadn't shown yet?
Ging wasn't the only one shaken. Standing next to him, Pyon was just as stunned.
Again?
Another nen beast of this level?
She had thought she'd gotten used to Larry constantly breaking common sense, but clearly, she hadn't. Every time she was around him, it felt like she had to reset her expectations, and still ended up being caught off guard.
It wasn't just that Larry was strong. No. It was that the kind of power that only a handful of people across the entire Six Continents possessed… somehow kept showing up around him like it was normal. It was like running into one legendary figure after another, and they were all part of Larry's arsenal.
The atmosphere suddenly became strange and quiet. Ging and Pyon both turned their attention to the Dragonite floating calmly in front of them.
"Roar?" Dragonite tilted its head, blinking innocently as if confused about why they were staring.
The silence didn't last long. The noise from the earlier fight had drawn in more of those strange Gildrosia-headed enemies.
From the rooftops. From the alleys. From every corner of the street. They poured in. Larry did a quick count and guessed there were about twenty to thirty of them rushing over.
Most were silver-headed, but a few gold ones mixed in too. The whole scene reminded him of a zombie outbreak.
It was like one of those old horror movies, creatures swarming in from every direction, trying to infect the survivors and turn them into more of their own.
Only this time, the "zombies" didn't have rotting flesh. Their bodies looked human… but their heads were completely replaced with smooth, metallic spheres of silver and gold. It wasn't bloody or grotesque like real zombies, but that didn't make it any less creepy.
If anything, it was worse. The weirdness of it, the uncanny clash between a human body and a featureless metal head, made the scene even more unsettling. And unlike real zombies, these things were fast and strong.
Ging and Pyon were already thinking about whether they could make it out of this in one piece when Larry moved. He wasn't planning to run. Are you kidding?
Those things were walking experience points for his Pokémon.
In the blink of an eye, beams of white light filled the street. Except for Ditto, Hydreigon, and Tyranitar, Larry released all the others.
The gold and silver enemies were too weak to be worth much to his S-rank Pokémon. But for the A-ranks, they were perfect training dummies.
Gengar, Mega Sableye, Snorlax, Arcanine, Gardevoir, Lucario, and even Happiny all took the field, forming a protective ring around Larry, Ging, and Pyon.
It was a coordinated defense, tight, disciplined, and calm in the face of chaos.
Ging stared blankly at the lineup, barely able to form words. "These… all of these… are your nen beasts?" he asked, more to himself than anyone else.
Pyon wasn't much better off. She looked at Larry with a pale face. "Larry… just how many nen beasts do you have?" she asked weakly, not even trying to sound polite anymore.
She had known Larry for a while now, but the truth was, she barely knew anything about his full strength. And now, all she and Ging wanted was one answer:
Just how deep did this guy's power go?
