Chapter 130 - 116 Fireworks Are Fireworks After All, the Press Conference is Open!

"Tsk tsk, Purewhite really has insane grind! I'm still stuck in the middle of the week, and he already cleared the second week!"

"Yeah, Ethan Zhao's full of guts, and Purewhite's got the grind!"

"Looking forward to it. I bet Purewhite will actually meet the second living human NPC in Deep Sea Trek!"

"Yeah, technically, once the alien artillery tower is deactivated, the Fireworks ship should land safely."

"Well, this could trigger the second ending of Deep Sea Trek—the one where the Fireworks crew survives! That ending would be way better than the original."

As people chatted, the video showed Purewhite standing on an island when the radio on his wristband crackled to life.

"This is Aiken, Captain of the Fireworks. I see you—wow, buddy, I have no idea how you managed to survive!"

"I see you too!" Purewhite replied excitedly. It was obvious from the video that he was thrilled—he knew he might finally fix the regret from the first playthrough.

The streamlined form of the Fireworks appeared in the sky. As it descended, the Pioneer Turret didn't transform—it just stood tall like a building.

"Okay! The Pioneer Turret didn't activate!"

"Looks like the Fireworks might finally land safely! I can't wait to see the crew!"

"If you can save the Fireworks in the second week… maybe the dev actually has a heart!"

But just as players celebrated in the chat, a deafening rumble erupted. The calm sea turned into chaos—as if a nuke had gone off underwater—kicking up a massive tsunami.

Then came the real shock.

From the depths of the sea, a monstrous beast burst forth.

It was massive—its body rose like a second sun, blotting out the sky. Darkness fell over the sea as if night had come in an instant.

"F**k!!!" Purewhite screamed in terror.

"My God, what is that thing?! It's headed straight for us—retreat! RETREAT!!" the captain of the Fireworks yelled in despair.

The next moment, the beast lunged several kilometers into the air—and chomped the Fireworks in one bite!

BOOM!!!

The captain's voice cut off. The Fireworks exploded once more. Flames erupted, but next to the beast, it looked like a birthday candle. The ship was swallowed whole.

After devouring the Fireworks, the colossal creature arced through the air and plunged back into the sea.

BOOM!!!

The impact caused another tsunami, this one over ten meters tall, reaching all the way to Purewhite's island.

The beast was unbelievably long. It took over 30 seconds for its entire body to sink back into the ocean.

Once it disappeared, the sky cleared. The sun returned. Purewhite stood frozen, staring at the sea.

Everyone watching the video was completely stunned.

"F**k... what the hell was that?!"

"That thing was terrifying! I've got chills!"

"It jumped kilometers into the air and was STILL not fully visible! That thing must be five or six kilometers long!"

"Has to be the Ancient Leviathan! Did you guys see TomatoTender's video earlier? He found something like this in the Dead Zone!"

"This is pure mythological nightmare fuel!"

"This has to be an easter egg from the dev! Just something ridiculous to blow our minds!"

"And blow our minds it did. You can even try and meet it in the Dead Zone—if you're crazy enough! (lol)"

"If I'm right, this is the Ancient Leviathan of the Lost River—or maybe that one was just a juvenile. This could be the real adult!"

Just then, Purewhite's voiceover returned, filled with awe: "That easter egg from the dev… it's unbelievable. I was totally floored by this monster. It's worthy of the name Leviathan. I gotta thank the dev for this!"

"But man, I still feel bad for the Fireworks. I thought I could save them this time, but I was too naïve. That surprise Leviathan ambush wrecked me!"

End of the video.

But players kept rewatching and discussing:

"Damn, what does the dev have against the Fireworks?! First we stop the Pioneer Turret, then the Ancient Leviathan appears and annihilates them! Brutal!"

"This confirms it: the Fireworks were always destined to become… well… fireworks!"

"If Feng sees this, his heart will break again. He was so hopeful about saving them in week two."

"That beast's reveal was more epic than the Aurora or the original Fireworks explosion!"

"Probably the most jaw-dropping moment in the whole game. This Ancient Leviathan is the stuff of legends!"

"The dev knows exactly what players want—shock, awe, XP, story, everything!"

"I'll be honest, when I saw that Leviathan, I felt my life hit its peak. No regrets!"

"I swear, if I were a girl, I'd marry that dev!"

The twin Leviathan reveals made the game's creator, Joe Chau, a legend among players. Their love of giant creatures was satisfied—at least for now.

Deep Sea Trek still holds many secrets, waiting for players to discover. That's the magic of this kind of single-player game—it's not about racing to the end. It's about exploring and enjoying the ride.

No question, the Leviathan easter egg has reignited internet buzz. At the same time, fans are mythologizing Joe Chau as a god-tier developer.

Sure, they joke about his love of trolling players, messing with expectations, and stabbing them with twists—but compared to his genius worldbuilding and immersion, those "flaws" are nothing.

To them, Joe Chau is omnipotent—at least in virtual worlds.

Now they're even more hyped for the launch of New World.
