The scene in the bedroom was utterly chaotic.
Dumbledore's vigorous strength sent the door crashing to the floor with a tremendous bang, startling everyone.
Seeing his stern expression, everyone in the bedroom looked at him uneasily, and for a moment no one spoke.
And Jane, seeing the "resurrected" Dumbledore suddenly appear before her, felt a great gulp of air trapped in her chest—she nearly suffocated.
She finally understood that she had been played by this whole group!
Was this some kind of test Dumbledore had deliberately arranged for her?
She jumped out of bed, rushed to the doorway, and grabbed her guardian's beard—making Dumbledore cry out "Ouch!" in pain!
But beyond the cry of pain, seeing Jane's such intense reaction upon seeing him, Dumbledore's face darkened—
Had the child been bullied?
Look at the disbelief in her eyes, as if she had finally waited for his appearance, even grabbing his beard—
In all their years of acquaintance, he had never seen her with such an expression!
No matter how you looked at it, this had to be someone else's fault!
A certain sense of parental responsibility arose spontaneously.
Dumbledore didn't realize his selective blindness had struck again—this condition made him completely forget that no one here had any possibility of bullying Jane, neither mentally nor physically.
Dumbledore's authoritative gaze swept around the room... locking onto the repeat offender Sirius Black. Just one look scared him into airplane ears, all his fur standing on end, his front legs lifting while his hind legs supported his body in a half-standing position.
He lost his balance, fell backward, and did a backflip on the spot.
Jane learned for the first time that dogs could actually do backflips.
"Uh... we tried to stop him... Padfoot... he ran too fast..." Lupin, sensing through his wolf's keen intuition that the white wizard before him was walking the path to darkness, broke the terrifying atmosphere in the bedroom. "Actually... actually he just wanted to comfort Yu... You know, he's always been rather impulsive..."
"But is this appropriate?" Mrs. Weasley, who had witnessed the entire scene beside Dumbledore, spoke disapprovingly. "No matter what, Sirius, you should really fix your impulsive habit. Running onto Yu's bed—how is this appropriate?"
The confused Sirius lay on the ground displaying pure innocence.
He didn't understand—when he was in the Slytherin girls' dormitory before, he always did this. How was it suddenly inappropriate?
He finally regained his ability to speak and loudly defended himself:
"I'm just a dog now! What's wrong with a dog getting on a bed?"
"Master-pet relationships—what's inappropriate about that?"
Dumbledore and Mrs. Weasley both took deep breaths simultaneously.
"Yes, a dog, and a single dog at that," Mrs. Weasley frowned and commented sharply. "So this isn't appropriate, Sirius."
"Even if you don't plan to be human and choose to be a dog," Dumbledore shook his head in anguish, "you're still an Animagus, capable of thinking like a human."
"Just be a person, Padfoot," Lupin also spoke with difficulty. "Set a good example for Harry. With so many children present, let's not do this."
Faced with everyone's condemning gazes, Sirius curled up into a ball, his eyes full of confusion and bewilderment.
He still didn't understand—the person hadn't changed, the form hadn't changed, only the location had switched from the girls' dormitory to Grimmauld Place. How was it suddenly inappropriate?
Amid all the chaos, only Jane finally snapped out of her anger at being tricked. She loudly questioned her guardian:
"So you're not dead? They were lying to me?"
"Yes, as Yu's guardian, I'm not dead yet, Sirius," Dumbledore still gazed sternly at Sirius, but suddenly realized the questioner was wrong. "Wait—Yu—who said I was dead?"
Everyone in the room looked at each other, all realizing something was amiss.
And Dumbledore finally discovered that no one here had been bullied at all. Because present were the lawbreaker Sirius, potential lawbreakers Fred and George, law-abiding Harry and outlaw Lupin, Hermione and Ginny.
And Chief Justice Mrs. Weasley hadn't shown any abnormality from beginning to end, even carrying midnight snacks she'd made for Jane.
He coughed awkwardly twice and directed his puzzled gaze toward Lupin, signaling him to explain what had happened.
"This has nothing to do with Professor Dumbledore?" Lupin asked in confusion. "We just heard Arthur say Yu's project was destroyed by Death Eaters and Wormtail was dead too, so we wanted to come comfort her... We thought she was keeping things bottled up inside while forcing herself to smile, which must feel terrible..."
Jane was thunderstruck—she finally remembered what she had forgotten before sleep—
She had forgotten to tell them that Wormtail had been blown up!
Now she only hoped they could keep their voices down... preferably stop discussing it altogether.
"Is this really something glorious...?" Jane, who had barely managed to cover up the truth, muttered bitterly and explained, "It was just a misunderstanding. I'm perfectly fine, no one was hurt, the Ministry of Magic will help rebuild the laboratory, and all that research is stored safely in our minds..."
After the misunderstanding was cleared up, everyone's faces finally relaxed, and the bedroom finally returned to its proper sleepy atmosphere.
But after the group yawned and crowded out of the bedroom... Dumbledore quietly fell to the back.
Under Jane's puzzled gaze, he drew his wand, pondered for a moment, then cast spells at the bedroom door lying on the ground.
A flash of blue light, and the door returned perfectly to its proper position, as if it had never been pushed down by his single hand.
Moreover, a very large sign appeared on it, apparently with a line of large text written on it. Jane couldn't see it clearly...
Because Dumbledore's left hand was blocking her eyes.
When his hand moved away, the sign simply read "Do Not Disturb," with the other side saying "No Entry."
Jane looked this way and that, seeing no difference—it all meant don't come in anyway.
After ensuring the bedroom door was sturdy enough that it couldn't be easily broken down, have its handle twisted off with one hand, or be opened with Alohomora—
Dumbledore showed a satisfied smile and instructed Jane to sleep early.
Seeing him go upstairs, Jane looked at that sign again.
It appeared completely normal, with civilized and polite wording, but she wasn't sure if her eyes were playing tricks on her...
Before he covered her eyes...
She seemed to have glimpsed the words "XXX and X Not Allowed Inside" flash by?
