After saying his words, Yun Che's body radiated the majestic might of the Ultimate Peak of the Divine Limited Realm. His presence vibrated through the air, shaking the very foundations of the space around him.
As the gods began processing what Yun Che had just declared, slowly piecing together his words, realization began to dawn on them.
"Hahahaha! Hahahaaha!"
Suddenly, a laughter rang out from the ground. Dian Jiuzhi, bloodied and bruised, slowly rose to his feet. Gone was his handsome face from earlier, replaced with one contorted in pain and anger after Yun Che's brutal kick.
"You? The Emperor of the Eternal Pure Land?!!!"
"Hahahaha! PUKE!" Dian Jiuzhi laughed so hard that blood poured from his mouth, wiping it away as he fought to regain his composure.
"Stopping us from going to the Eternal Pure Land?!!!! YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THAT?!" Dian Jiuzhi roared, his voice seething with fury. Slowly, he floated upward, reaching the same level as Yun Che. His anger was reaching its peak, and the humiliation of the day was unbearable. Having been kicked twice—once in the back and once in the face—by this pair of master and disciple, his pride had been shattered beyond measure.
His dignity as a True God, as the Divine Regent of his kingdom, had been completely shattered! Rage and anger threatened to consume him as his already beastly body radiated monstrous, rage-fueled power. He had lost all control.
"DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Dian Jiuzhi roared, charging forward with his full godly might, intent on obliterating Yun Che. But before he could even get close, he felt an overwhelming force lock him in place. His body halted mid-motion, unable to advance.
Slowly, he turned his head, sensing the immense power holding him in place.
"Don't make a fool out of yourself." Chief Priest Big Rage's voice rang out, calm and authoritative. He had noticed the shift in Yun Che's eyes—the unmistakable purple glow. With him halting Dian Jiuzhi in place, the Ancient True God then said.
"You said everything you have, all of your deeds, your crimes, were all for us, the people of Abyss, to not enter your world?" the Ancient True God spoke, his voice carrying the weight of a thousand storms as he addressed Yun Che.
"The pain that you've caused, all of it, was just for that?" Chief Priest asked, his voice laced with disbelief.
"I'm afraid that cannot be done," he said plainly, his expression hardening.
"This world... the Abyss, you can feel it too, don't you? The laws here are becoming more and more unstable. Even the time wheel of the world is not working right."
"Soon, the Abyss will collapse. Maybe only a short ten thousand years from now, this Abyss world will completely disappear."
!!!!!!!!!!!
At the Chief Priest's words, all eyes widened, especially those of the young gods. They had been briefed by their former lord before all of this, but they hadn't realized the situation was this dire.
Ten thousand years—while it was a hundred mortal lifetimes—was far too short for powerful cultivators. It was nothing more than a fleeting moment in their eternal lives.
"Because of that, the Abyssal Monarch will bring as many people as he can to..." The Chief Priest continued, but before he could finish his long explanation, Yun Che raised his hand, halting him.
"The world of Abyss is collapsing because of the Abyssal Monarch, because of Mo Su himself, and you know it."
"By using the Nirvana Devil Wheel Reversing Pearl, Abyssal Monarch Mo Su created the Cradles, which stop time, but the price was the collapsing of the Abyss's Time Wheel. You both know it, so why are you acting like saints trying to save the people of the Abyss when you're the ones causing the calamity in the first place?"
His words immediately stunned everyone. The expressions of the two Ancient True Gods turned awkward, as if they hadn't expected Yun Che to speak so directly.
"You... YOU!!!!" The Chief Priest and Liu Xiao were completely stunned as they murmured. This was a secret known only to a select few in the Abyss... HOW DID YUN CHE KNOW?!!!
"Am I wrong?" Yun Che's voice cut through the tension, his words filled with quiet defiance.
At this moment, the High Priests no longer looked at Yun Che the same way as before. The gods surrounding them trembled with horror, their minds struggling to process what they had just heard. This was world-shattering information—information that would forever change how they viewed the Abyssal Monarch and everything surrounding him. The realization hit them like a thunderclap.
"To think... this world calamity... was actually caused by the Abyssal Monarch himself..." Pan Buwang murmured, his voice filled with awe and disbelief. If Yun Che, back when he played the role of the Fog Monarch, had told Pan Buwang this, even with the respect he held for his master, Pan Buwang wasn't sure he would have believed it. But now, seeing the reactions of the High Priests... there was no room for doubt. The truth was clear.
Of course, with a truth so hard to believe, there were bound to be those who still refused to accept it.
"Lord High Priest... is... IS THAT REALLY TRUE?!!!!" Still struggling to accept the staggering revelation, the Twin Gods asked, their voices tinged with disbelief. But the Chief Priest's expression had already turned grim, his gaze fixed on Yun Che, and his silence served as the final confirmation for those still uncertain.
Then, after a long, deep breath, the Chief Priest finally spoke, his voice heavy with reluctant admission.
"Yes, it is true."
The sounds of knees collapsing and figures falling from the air echoed throughout the space as the Ancient True Gods admitted the truth. The weight of the revelation was too much for them to bear.
Looking at the scene unfolding behind them, the Ancient True Gods sighed in silence, knowing the magnitude of what had just been revealed. The Chief Priest's voice broke the quiet.
"It's true that the Lord created the calamity for this world, but it was not out of choice..." His words were heavy with emotion as he sighed, understanding the reasons behind his Lord's actions.
"If there were another way... he wouldn't have done what he did..." Suddenly, the Chief Priest stopped, his own words mirroring Hua Caili's from earlier, and the weight of that realization seemed to hit him.
"That's right, if there were other ways, the Abyssal Monarch Mo Su, and I, Emperor Yun of Eternal Pure Land, wouldn't have done what we did." Yun Che's voice was calm, as if he were agreeing with the Chief Priest's sentiment. His darkness began to recede, and he slowly lifted his finger.
The gray sky split apart, revealing a breathtaking scene that played out for all to see. The world of the God Realm, free from the Abyssal Dust, unfolded in the sky. The beautiful landscapes—lush flower fields, pristine oceans, vast worlds—captured the gaze of all who looked up, mesmerizing everyone, even Dian Jiuzhi. His eyes that filled with madness have trace of longing.
A world without Abyssal Dust... A world where one could live freely! It was a dream they all shared, a dream that seemed so distant.
As the beautiful scene continued, the image shifted. Now, scenes of Yun Che being respected by all of his subordinates played out. From the Yama Ancestors to the Brahma God Ancestors, all of them bowed respectfully, calling him Emperor Yun as he overlooks with world.
"He...he really...is the ruler of that...world" The Gods murmured.
Yun Che had not lied; he truly was the emperor of Eternal Pure Land!
But suddenly the scene above changed. From the peaceful land, the scene diplay this time, was anything but peaceful. This time, it was no longer filled with beauty, but blood and carnage. The subordinates of Yun Che were falling, sacrificing their lives to protect him from the calamity that threatened them all. The images of selflessness and sacrifice filled the sky, and the scene became one of overwhelming sorrow and loss.
The High Priests and the Twin Gods stared up at the scene above, their eyes wide with shock, their minds racing with thoughts. The younger gods may not recognize the people in the images, but they did. They knew them—they knew the very individuals responsible for the carnage in the beautiful Eternal Pure Land! The very land that the Abyssal Monarch had claimed to care about most and wished to return to!
As the scene continued to play out above them, Yun Che spoke, his voice carrying an emotional weight.
"Back then, we, the people of the God Realm, known to most of you as Eternal Pure Land, had never known the world of the Abyss."
"To us, the highest possible power we could achieve was just the Peak of the Divine Master Realm."
"Yet, one day, a calamity known as the Abyssal Knight arrived... a calamity, that we had no way of escaping."
"Abyssal Knight Mo Biechen and his squire were a nightmare to our world." Yun Che's voice trembled with emotion as he looked up at the scene unfolding above. Pain filled his eyes as he recalled the horrors of those days. The gods, in turn, fell silent as they watched the destruction and death the Abyssal Knight had brought to the land. The air was thick with the weight of the memories.
The scene shifted once more, showing the fateful day when Yun Che fought Abyssal Knight Mo Biechen. The gods watched as the actions of the people of the God Realm played out. They saw the ones who had betrayed their own land, and those who had remained loyal, wanting only to protect their emperor.
The gods watched as Yun Che arrived, ready to battle Mo Biechen, alongside the madman Cang Shitian and Huo Poyun, who transformed into a Golden Crow. Together with Yun Che, they caused a miracle, overcoming the calamity known as Mo Biechen.
The gods witnessed the fierce battle, the sacrifices, the courage, and the immense power that had been summoned in a desperate fight for survival.
Then, the scene in the sky disappeared, yet the shock it had brought to everyone present still lingered as they all looked at Yun Che. The weight of the images and his words hung heavily in the air.
Finally, after a long pause, Yun Che spoke again, his voice steady, yet tinged with emotion.
"Because of Mo Biechen, we, the people of the God Realm, came to know about the Abyss' existence and your plan to enter my world..."
"Then, to stop that from happening... I entered your world..."
Yun Che glanced at everyone as he continued, his words carefully measured, his eyes filled with a storm of emotions.
"After I arrived in the Abyss, upon learning more and more about this world, as I pieced everything together, I discovered the reason why the world is collapsing...and the reason why your Monarch cannot stop doing what he does."
"I understand him..."
"BUT! I truly cannot allow you all to enter my world! ... to protect my people, my world!" Yun Che's voice cracked with emotion, and the gods fell into deep silence, each word hitting them like a hammer.
"The world of the God Realm cannot accommodate those with cultivation higher than Divine Master! Mo Biechen's existence almost caused my world to break! He is just one Divine Extinction! Yet that alone was enough to break my world! If other people enter my world... I... CANNOT ALLOW THAT!!!"
In the end, with all the emotions he'd held back for so long, Yun Che roared, the intensity of his feelings pouring out.
He had spoken everything that had been pent up in his heart, and his blackened eyes, now tinged with red, revealed the depth of his pain. This was his burden to bear. He alone shouldered the responsibility of the Emperor.
The Gods and Ancient True Gods remained silent as they processed what Yun Che had just said. It was indeed common knowledge among those with the highest standing in the Abyss that the Heavenly Laws in the Eternal Pure Land were weak, and what Yun Che had revealed held weight. They, as beings of power, could relate to and understand his pain.
Hua Caili watched Yun Che, her heart aching as she felt the depth of his pain. "This... is Big Brother Yun Che's true face..." she murmured to herself in her mind, finally seeing him for who he truly was.
Someone filled with pain, a person burdened by the weight of responsibilities and the consequences of his actions.
Hua Caili's emotions surged as her thoughts drifted back to that day—the day she was about to enter the world. She remembered her father's words:
"We live in a world where the weak are prey for the strong, and survival of the fittest is the law. Just as they have the choice to resist to defend their honor or submit to us to survive, we too have the choice to 'disturb' them to lead a better life, or remain where we are and languish for eternity."
"It has nothing to do with right or wrong, good or evil."
"If someone, or rather, something must be blamed for this unfairness, then weakness is the only original sin."
--------
The atmosphere grew heavy with silence, as no one could find the words to respond to Yun Che's admission. It was a moment of shared understanding and, yet, an insurmountable divide between their worlds. For what felt like eternity, the stillness lingered.
But eventually, it was broken.
"As much as we understand your pain, we ourselves cannot just wait for our death either," an ancient voice rang out, its resonance both firm and filled with a deep weight. It was the Chief Priest's voice.
His words pierced the silence, and everyone present slowly lifted their heads, acknowledging the truth in his words. No matter how much right or wrong was on either side, this was the core truth: THEY CANNOT JUST SIMPLY DIE. Regardless of what they believed, who they were, or the paths they had taken, life itself remained an instinct deep within their souls. Every being, no matter their status, would strive for survival, would fight for a better and greater life.
The world of the Abyss, even if it not on the verge of collapsing, still filled with Abyssal Dust. The very dust that made up the Law of Destruction. Life here was harsh, brutal, and fraught with the constant threat of death.
"Life, is not easy to exist here!"
If there was a place beyond this, a place free of Abyssal Dust, then regardless of the cost, they would pursue it. For in the heart of every being, the drive to live, to escape the suffocating grasp of death, would always push them forward.
"If there is a place where we can go, to a place without Abyssal Dust, no matter the price, we will absolutely do so!" The Chief Priest's words were firm, unyielding, and filled with the deep desire for survival that resonated with every soul present.
"Master... couldn't we just have everyone sealed their cultivation when entering the Eternal Pure Land?" Suddenly, amidst the tense silence, Pan Buwang spoke up. His question, though simple, cut through the heavy atmosphere, offering a potential solution.
His words seemed to spark a flicker of hope, but as the Gods turned to Yun Che for his response, he shook his head solemnly.
"There is no guarantee that one day, One of the Gods won't accidentally lash out and destroy the world." Yun Che's voice was firm; his gaze looks a certain God direction.
"But with the respect to the Monarch... they..." Liu Xiao began to respond, his voice laced with a hint of understanding, but once again, Yun Che interrupted him.
"Can you guarantee it?" Yun Che's words cut through the air like a blade, silencing Liu Xiao before he could finish his thought. The question was simple but profound, and it immediately shut down any further argument.
A moment of silence followed, thick with tension, until suddenly, amidst the quiet, Pan Buwang spoke again.
"You're wrong, master..."
His words immediately drew the attention of everyone present. All eyes turned to Pan Buwang, the weight of his statement hanging in the air as they waited for him to elaborate.
Yun Che too was stunned by Pan Buwang's remark. But as much as he understood Pan Buwang, this man, his intelligence was no lower than his own—perhaps even higher. Had he overlooked something?
"What is it?" Yun Che asked, his curiosity piqued.
"...."
Pan Buwang took a deep breath, his head the only part of him that could move as he was tightly chained. With a brief glance at Yun Che and the Gods, he then spoke again.
"Although it's not possible for us to guarantee that no one will one day release their powerful energy and destroy Eternal Pure Land, but! The entire Abyss knows that the Abyssal Monarch and the Ancient True Gods came from Eternal Pure Land!"
"Everyone here knows that the world of Eternal Pure Land, with its declining Heavenly Laws, most likely won't be able to accommodate those with higher power..."
"I may not know why the Abyssal Monarch is willing to do what he does, even at the cost of destroying the Abyss, but I do know that he values Eternal Pure Land above all else. His love for Eternal Pure Land is eternal... So, I am willing to bet that he might have a way to help strengthen Eternal Pure Land's Heavenly Laws!"
Pan Buwang's words shook all the hearts and souls here as his words echoed in their minds like a storm!
Pan Buwang's words stunned all present, but amidst the shock, it also brought hope to everyone as their eyes lit up. Even in Yun Che's blackened eyes, light seemed to return!
"It... it is... possible?" Yun Che murmured in his mind. Just as he asked, Li Suo's voice rang out.
"It's indeed... possible," Li Suo said.
Her words sent more tremors through Yun Che's soul, as realization dawned on him. If the strength of the Heavenly Laws of the God Realm could be strengthened, then... it could accommodate the people of the Abyss and allow those from the God Realm to progress further in their cultivation!
"It... possible... It's possible!" Yun Che murmured, his thoughts racing. Amidst the chaos in his mind, Li Suo's voice rang out again.
"The Primordial Energy from the God Realm has over the years been sucked into the world of the Abyss. Although the world of the Abyss can accommodate the Gods, its energy is actually thinner than it was in the Primordial Era."
!!!!!!!
The Heavenly Laws and Profound Energy here were already much, much higher than in the God Realm in the present day... but to think it wasn't even at the level of the Primordial Era yet!
Yun Che's eyes went wide as he listened to Li Suo's words, his heart racing. The realization struck him with the force of a tidal wave.
Since Li Suo had awakened, many memories from the past Era had returned to her. With that, her understanding of the world's situation was now far clearer, far more precise than before.
"Even though the Primordial Energy was sucked into this Abyss world, the Abyss itself is also losing its energy... its energy... all seems to go toward that direction," Li Suo continued, her voice steady but filled with the weight of her words.
Yun Che murmured softly, his mind racing to understand. "The Depth of the Abyss's... Endless Fog Sea..."
"Correct."
A strange sense of urgency filled the air as Yun Che took in her words.
"But since you can enter its extreme depths, and with Mo Su's help, there might be a chance for you—or him—to reverse everything there. You could even allow both the Abyss and the God Realm to coexist."
Her calm words struck him like a thunderclap, shaking him to his core. The possibilities, the weight of it all, seemed almost too much to bear. But the potential, the hope in her voice, stirred something deep within him.
If Yun Che could retrieve the Existence Essence of Pan Xiaodie, help Mo Su, and in turn, have Mo Su help him restore the Heavenly Laws of the God Realm... then... that would be for the best! If that could be achieved...!!!!!
All of his crimes, all the pain and suffering he caused, he could explain everything to Mo Su later, when they met again. They could resolve everything! There would be no need for bloodshed or more painful tears anymore!
"YUN CHEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" Suddenly, amid his chaotic thoughts, Li Suo screamed out in Yun Che's mind, snapping him from his state of turmoil. Just as she cried out, a beastly claw, formed from godly power, arrived before him!
Before Yun Che could even put his defenses up, before he could even say anything, the monstrous claws struck him right in the chest!
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!"
"CRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!"
Amidst the terrifying explosion of godly power, the sound of bones cracking echoed through the air as Yun Che's figure was sent flying, blood trailing behind him as he soared through the sky.
"BIG BROTHER YUN CHE!!!!!" Hua Caili screamed, her pale face filled with horror, her voice echoing as she watched Yun Che's bloodied figure fly away, the red trails marking his path.
"Master!" Pan Buwang also shouted, his voice trembling with shock and horror as he called out to Yun Che.
"BOOOOMMMMMM!!!!"
"BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!"
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!"
Yun Che's figure crashed into the ground repeatedly, his body bouncing off the jagged terrain and smashing through multiple mountains. With each violent impact, the force of his body colliding with the earth sent shockwaves throughout the Abyss.
Finally, with a deafening "BOOOMMMM!!!", Yun Che lay motionless on the cold Abyssal ground, his body battered and bloodied, barely moving, as the dust settled around him.
