Chapter 254 - Chapter 254 : The Struggling Giant!

Click!

The sound of bones shattering echoed through the air. Finn's ribs broke again and again as his body was flung violently, tumbling before crashing hard onto the ground.

Finn smiled bitterly, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. He looked up at the haughty figure hovering mid-air, hatred igniting in his chest. "You beast... kill me if you've got the guts. Otherwise, I swear—I'll kill you with my own hands. I'll rip out your guts and feed them to dogs. I'll make sure you die with no grave to bury you in!"

"Jehehehe... you're still arrogant? You lowly insect!"

The troll's eyes flared with fury. This pathetic little human was already on the brink of death, and still dared to insult him? He would pay dearly for his insolence!

With a guttural snarl, the troll's enormous body dove down like a meteor. His massive claws gleamed with a sickly, cold light—dark ivory in hue. If those claws landed, they'd tear Finn apart. He wouldn't just die—he'd be reduced to nothing but scraps of flesh.

"Tch."

Finn scoffed coldly, forcing himself to ignore the pain searing through every nerve. His right hand lifted weakly—then a spark burst from his palm.

A flame ignited. It surged, coiling and blazing until it shaped itself into a flaming longsword, red-hot and crackling with barely contained power.

"Go to hell!!!"

With a defiant roar, Finn launched himself upward, brandishing the flaming sword. In that instant, dark golden fire erupted, flooding the air and engulfing the troll in searing heat.

The troll halted, his claws retracting mid-swipe. His brows furrowed, confusion etched across his monstrous face. "What... is this power?"

"Zzztt—zztt..."

The flames clung to the troll's thick fur, sizzling as they spread. He howled in pain, reeling back, but Finn refused to relent.

In the blink of an eye, Finn's form blurred—like a shadow darting between flickers of flame. He closed the gap, a specter of vengeance, and with a blazing slash, he swept the sword toward the troll again.

The flaming blade distorted the air itself, warping it with its sheer heat. The ripple spread like waves through reality—echoes of a power touched by entities beyond comprehension. It was as if the very rules of physics bent around Finn's strike.

The troll raised his remaining arm to shield himself—

Boom!

The impact reverberated. The troll's right arm went numb, reeling from the force. He staggered back two steps, stunned. How could this mortal—this insect—injure him?

"RAAAHHH!!"

The troll roared in primal fury, his body surging upward, growing larger—like a Hulk-level transformation forced into overdrive. His feet dug into the ground like anchors.

"Insect—DIE!!!"

With terrifying momentum, the troll lunged. His bulk shot forward like a cannonball, claws slashing with wild power—this time unleashing a finisher meant to obliterate.

Boom!!!

One swipe connected—Finn's chest crumpled under the blow. He stumbled sideways, body collapsing under the massive force.

But he clenched his teeth, pushed through the agony—and swung back.

With another feral yell, Finn slashed upward.

The blade, wreathed in flames, sliced clean through the troll's leg.

"ROOOAAAR!!!"

The troll screamed. His entire frame wobbled and buckled. He nearly toppled—but before he could recover, Finn surged again.

He shot forward, his figure flickering—burned into the air like a ghost on fire.

He appeared in front of the troll's forehead, sword poised.

"Die!!!"

The flaming blade flared to full intensity, its heat warping the air around them. Finn drove it forward with a brutal thrust.

Roar!!!

The troll shrieked and lashed out. Its claws met Finn's sword mid-air.

For a moment—

Clang!

Sparks exploded. Metal screeched against bone. The troll's arm wavered. His balance broke.

Boom!

Finn didn't miss the opening.

He drove a vicious kick into the troll's stomach—his foot striking with all the force his battered body could muster. The troll's abdomen caved in. He was hurled backward, crashing down in an eruption of dust and shattered earth.

"Agh—cough!"

Finn dropped to one knee, coughing up blood. His body trembled, sweat pouring down his pale face. That last move had drained the last of his energy.

Lying weakly on the ground, he looked toward the crippled beast.

His lips curled with a broken grin.

"Heh... how's that, you bastard? Told you—I'd kill you today."

The troll roared again, pain and rage fusing into madness. He dragged his wounded body upright, eyes burning with hatred.

Finn coughed again, more blood spilling from his mouth.

"Hahaha... you're done. Don't even try to get up. I'll give you a complete corpse, I swear. You won't suffer anymore."

Whoosh!!!

Before the words were finished, the troll exploded into motion. His massive body blurred—transformed into a shadowy phantom—and lunged straight for Finn.

Claws extended, ripping through the air with ear-splitting screeches.

Finn's eyes narrowed.

His body, already failing, instinctively backed away. But his strength was gone. His reflexes dulled.

"Shit... I'm too slow. My body's outta gas. Dammit—at this rate..."

He gritted his teeth.

The claws were nearly upon him.

Then—Finn's eyes sharpened.

A grin, twisted with fury, spread across his face.

"Since you want to keep playing—then fine. Let's go down together!"

Shing!!

A silver flash exploded between them.

The troll's eyes widened. He stopped. A tremble ran through his massive frame.

He lowered his gaze.

There—embedded in his chest—was a dagger. Sleek. Silver. Glowing faintly with mystic energy, like something straight out of Kamar-Taj's secret vaults.

Blood spilled out in thick rivers.

The troll stared in disbelief. His mind couldn't comprehend it. How?

Finn descended slowly from the air, feet barely touching the ground. His entire form was trembling. Blood ran down his chin. His body looked like it might collapse at any second.

He held his ground.

The dagger had pierced straight into the beast's chest, carved through hardened muscle like paper. It wasn't a regular weapon—this was something forged with eldritch essence, perhaps even laced with energy from the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak or blessed by the Vishanti themselves.

Finn had sacrificed everything in that moment. He didn't care.

He'd already pushed his mortal limits far beyond normal.

But he didn't regret it.

Anyone else would've been dead a hundred times over already. Only he—only Finn—had the will to survive.

He summoned the Sword of the Vishanti once more. The blade ignited again—pure flame radiating with unbearable intensity.

He gripped it with both hands, arms trembling.

"It's over."

With a final war cry, he slashed the sword downward in a deadly arc—aimed straight for the troll's neck.

The troll's eyes widened.

It saw death reflected in the sword's glint.

"NO—"

But there was no time.

The blade carved through flesh, bone, and muscle with clean finality.

Bang!!

The troll's headless body crashed to the ground. Dust clouds billowed. Cracks splintered the earth like spiderwebs beneath a titan's fall.

Silence.
