Fish-Man Street was still quite easy to identify on Fish-Man Island, but ordinary mermaids and fish-men rarely went there, because it was equivalent to a lawless zone on land.
Currently occupying Fish-Man Street were the two biggest villains of Fish-Man Island, Hody Jones and Vander Decken.
That used to be a large facility on Fish-Man Island for taking in orphans, but gradually, as more and more villains from Fish-Man Island gathered together, the scale grew and its nature changed.
But no one knew Hody Jones's true purpose yet. Even Decken was unaware that his partner was actually an absolute racist, and an extreme one willing to sacrifice his own race.
They were both waiting to get their hands on the ES steroids. Once they did, they would launch their great revenge plan against humanity. They would establish a new Fish-Man Kingdom, make those lowly humans on land witness their power, and then enslave them.
However, Hody Jones still seemed relatively normal for now. After all, the darkest side of a person's heart could not appear on their face every moment.
He and Decken were currently drinking and having fun on Fish-Man Street, discussing the situation outside.
"Disgusting humans are everywhere capturing our kin. That incompetent king, huh..." Hody smashed the liquor bottle in his hand on the ground. They used the Noah as their base.
He heard it was an ancient ship, but it looked severely damaged. Even so, it was still enormous.
If Fish-Man Street were not connected to the sea outside the island, they probably could not fit that massive ark. He heard it was something passed down through the royal family for generations. They grew up watching that thing, and never thought it was anything special.
Those days, even the king rarely sent anyone to check on it. Mainly because the ark was already damaged, and aside from the fact that it did not get in the way much there, there was simply nowhere else to put it.
"Humans are weak, sure, but this isn't the best time for us to act yet. I hear that a powerful human pirate, one of the Four Emperors, has sent an envoy to the island." Vander Decken said, looking at his own palm. 'My dear Shirahoshi, once I'm done dealing with this guy, I'll throw a few axes your way as a nice greeting.'
"He'll probably just beg for protection again. Otherwise, how could he be called an incompetent king? Even Jinbe is the same, bowing and scraping to humans. It's disgusting just to look at." Hody said.
With their fish-men race being born so much stronger than humans, they still needed to beg for someone's protection. How embarrassing. They had debased the great fish-man race. One day, they must execute those disgusting creatures.
"Boss, boss, trouble! Some human pirates have come to Fish-Man Street. A few of our brothers went to provoke them, and they all got taken down." A fish-man suddenly ran in, panicked, and said.
"What?! Human pirates dare to come to Fish-Man Street? Do they think we're the same as those cowards outside, indulging in comfort and ease? Take me there right now. I want to see who dares to cause trouble on my turf..." Hody Jones's face turned extremely ugly. Mere humans, a lowly and despicable race, dared to provoke him.
"These guys seem to have quite a few kills under their belts." Enel said casually. Rosen only brought Enel on that trip. The others were resting at the palace, or out seeing Fish-Man Island.
Because it involved ancient manufacturing techniques, and Rosen himself was quite curious, plus Enel was the expert, Rosen brought Enel along.
"Even though killing people on someone else's turf isn't good, if they don't know what's good for them, just kill them." Rosen said, then flicked his finger. A grain of sand flew out and sent a tall fish-man flying, smashing through several buildings in a row.
"Sure. But I've never seen creatures like these before." Enel grinned. Fish-men and mermaids were really two different kinds of creatures. Mermaids were beautiful, but those fish-men... they were a bit ugly.
He rejected them on grounds of ugliness.
"Three thousand volts, discharge!" Enel waved his scepter, and an arc of lightning shot out. A dozen or so troublemakers from Fish-Man Street fell to the ground instantly.
But that was Fish-Man Street after all, and more people kept gathering. After Rosen and Enel took down one wave, another wave rushed in.
"This is endless. Black Prison Bullet!" Rosen raised his hand and fired several attacks. A few vaguely familiar-looking guys charged at him. They seemed to be officers of Hody's New Fish-Man Pirates, and their killing intent toward him was strong.
"Ikaros, Daruma, Dosun, let's attack together. These two humans have a decent reputation in the human world. If we can kill them or capture them alive, it will surely deal a heavy blow to human pirates in the future." Hyouzou, Zoro's future opponent, was not drunk right then. He said this very clearly.
At the same time, he swung multiple swords and rushed toward Rosen. His blades were coated with deadly poison; one touch meant death.
"Kill!" The other fish-man thugs were also extremely fierce. Quite a few of Hody's men had already killed human pirates. They hated humans with a burning passion. Of course, unlike Hody's unprovoked, pathological hatred, they still had some sense. At least many fish-men had indeed been persecuted by humans.
But Rosen never showed mercy to those with killing intent.
"If you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish." Rosen's expression was blank. Black Prison Bullets appeared one after another before him. He gently pushed his palm forward, and a deafening roar erupted instantly, piercingly loud. The seemingly gentle motion sent the sand grains to their maximum speed.
Moreover, with Rosen's mastery, he could now use Haki to spin the sand grains at high speed on their surface, increasing destructive power and launch speed.
"What is that?!" Hyouzou had some skill. He was not a complete nobody. But he could not see the speed at which Rosen fired the sand grains at all, because it was too fast.
He could only instinctively raise his swords to block. But the swords shattered before his shocked eyes. Then something pierced through his body, tearing right through.
"Im... impossible. Our goal... hasn't been achieved yet. We're going to enslave all... all hu..."
"Foolish, pathetic, and ignorant fool. You don't even know Haki. You've just taken down a few ordinary pirates, and you think you're invincible?" Rosen heard this and recalled Hody's once pathological and laughable ideals.
That was even less agreeable than the naive royal family. At least they knew how to seek real ways to survive. Hody and his crew were just monsters who clung to so-called ideals, arrogant and destructive.
"Damn it, you despicable human! How dare you kill my crew officers?!" Hody arrived just in time to see several of his officers fall. And it looked like most of them were beyond saving. He did not actually care.
But if a human killed them, he could not stand it. Anything human deserved to die. He would definitely torture that one to death.
"Blame your own bad luck. I just came out to look at this so-called Noah's Ark. Who knew you'd all run right into the line of fire? I'll give you three seconds. Run as far as you can." Rosen looked at Hody. That thing should not be called a fish-man, or even a creature. It was just a vessel for all negative emotions, a monster.
"I'll tear you to pieces, damn it! You're just a human!" Hody bared his vicious fangs. But without drugs right then, his strength was limited. Even if he did take them, to Rosen, this was still just an opponent with a bounty of 190 million berries.
And the bounty was probably that high more because of how dangerous he was. After all, his New Fish-Man Pirates often exterminated or enslaved humans.
As Hody threw a punch, Enel immediately wanted to step in and block it, but Rosen stopped him: "I'll handle it myself. Good for warming up."
"Okay, Captain." Seeing this, Enel stepped aside, then drew a bolt of lightning from his fingertip, smiling at the other thugs and pirates on Fish-Man Street.
"There are a total of one hundred and thirty-nine people within my range of perception. I'll give you ten breaths of time. If you can escape my perception range by then, I won't let this thing fall on you. Sounds fun, doesn't it..." Enel said, casually pointing at someone.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, electrocuting that fish-man.
"Wh... what kind of power is this? L-lightning?" The fish-men were instantly filled with fear. The power of lightning... sometimes when they secretly swam to the surface, they had seen it. It only appeared during storms. It was terrifying.
"Don't be afraid. They're just two humans. Charge over and butcher him." Hody was startled, but his pride and ideology would not allow him to back down before a human. Hearing Hody's voice, the fish-man thugs gathered their courage and charged at Enel.
"What a shame. I was hoping to play a little game, set the passing rate at one percent. Looks like that's not happening. Just a boring way to pass the time..." Enel yawned, casually pointing his finger in any direction. Then, anyone who tried to approach Enel got struck by lightning from the sky, one after another.
"Electrocuting fish is against the law." Rosen shook his head. Those fish-men had some strength, but it was really not impressive. No wonder Enel was just playing around.
"What are you looking at, human?" Hody's fist was already flying toward Rosen's face, but Rosen caught it easily.
"Th-this... I can't move?!" When Hody's fist was caught, he tried to pull it back, but it would not budge.
Then Rosen kicked him in the abdomen, sending him flying. One kick. The force penetrated his body instantly, shattering his bones and internal organs.
"He died at the hands of a human?!" Hody, even as he neared death, could not figure it out. Was he really that weak? They fish-men were born with ten times the strength of humans. And he had trained extremely hard. Yet he could not even block a single move from a human.
As expected, it was impossible without the ES steroids. How unwilling he was...
"Finishing off your opponent is a good habit." Rosen looked at Hody Jones, who was lying against a wall, barely alive. He extended a finger and fired a sand bullet, which pierced through Hody's head.
"Finish up quickly. If you want to play, there will be plenty of opponents once we reach the New World." Rosen said to Enel after finishing off Hody.
"Captain Hody is dead?!"
"That's impossible! How could the captain lose to a human?"
"They're too strong. These human pirates are too strong. I heard their bounty is ten times the captain's!"
"Ten times?!" The fish-men were instantly stunned. After all, on the entire Fish-Man Street, not counting the often-returning veteran Jinbe, no one could beat Hody. He had become the boss through strength.
