Chapter 233 - CHAPTER 233 - Captured – Rosen’s Stance

"Keep hitting him and he'll die!" Hathaway warned as she watched Enel, unconscious and suspended mid-air, yet to fall.

"Huh? That fragile?" Rosen was briefly stunned. He hadn't been faking it—Rosen was genuinely concerned Enel would turn into lightning and escape, and with that Rumble-Rumble Fruit, who knew what chaos he could cause.

Destroying Raigo hadn't been easy. If the original story hadn't revealed how Luffy disrupted it from the inside, Rosen wouldn't have considered interfering with the lightning's internal structure as a viable strategy.

So once he landed the first hit, every follow-up was delivered with absolute focus. He didn't stop to assess Enel's injuries—he just kept hitting until Enel was completely unable to resist.

Rosen assumed that while Enel might not be skilled in physical combat, his vitality should still be decent.

But to his surprise, he had nearly beaten him to death. As Enel lost consciousness, Rosen was alerted that his 800 million bounty target had been completed—and a new speed mission for a 1 billion bounty had been issued.

Though Enel lacked Armament Haki, his Devil Fruit mastery was impressive—comparable to powerful Shichibukai. If Rosen didn't have a Logia-type fruit himself, defeating Enel wouldn't have been so easy.

So the system had judged Enel's strength at the 800 million level.

It was a relatively easy fight for Rosen—at least not life-threatening. The real challenge had been Enel's unpredictability.

Hathaway and Daz Bones hadn't participated directly—they'd mainly provided support—but that had been necessary too.

"Find some Seastone to restrain him. Then have the ship's doctor treat him."

"Can I take care of him after that?" Hathaway asked, staring at the unconscious Enel lying on the ground.

"Are you confident?" Rosen glanced at her. He had already made plans for what to do with Enel.

"Not sure. But I want to try. He's strong, and if it doesn't work, we can just throw him in the brig. No harm done." Hathaway had a personal grudge—she'd vowed to make Enel taste true despair, and she meant it.

"Fine, we'll do it your way. Take him. Daz, check the coast. If the fighting is still ongoing, end it quickly. We've got business ahead. Besides, the Shandians and Skypieans still haven't made their stance clear." Though Enel was dealt with, Rosen had no intention of picking another fight with the islanders.

If they wanted to keep fighting among themselves, so be it—they'd been at it for 400 years.

Gan Fall had already arrived, and the Shandian war demon and his warriors weren't far behind.

If they made a wrong move, Rosen wouldn't show mercy.

"Understood." Daz Bones nodded.

"Enel's been defeated—how is that possible?!" Wyper and Gan Fall both saw Enel lying unconscious, and were in disbelief. The mighty god had fallen.

Gan Fall, who had witnessed the battle from below, felt it most deeply.

These Blue Sea people were terrifying.

Wyper glanced at Enel, then suddenly lunged at the unconscious man. He wasn't satisfied until Enel was dead.

But the moment he moved, a colossal slash of sword aura swept past his face, tearing a chasm in the ground. Hathaway frowned and warned him, "Don't recklessly enter my attack range."

She hadn't let her guard down. Once in combat mode, anything with killing intent that entered her zone could trigger an instinctive counterattack.

"This woman…" Wyper was a hardened warrior, forged through countless battles and possessing great strength and resilience.

But seeing the ground sliced into a deep chasm with just a casual swing from her—it was the first time he felt fear.

Because in that instant, as the sword aura came at him, the killing intent was so overwhelming it filled him—nicknamed "war demon"—with dread and despair.

Their strength wasn't even in the same realm. Nor was their danger level.

So Wyper stopped.

"Since everyone's here, let me be clear. Enel won't be handed over to you. I'm also taking his Ark. As for the Holy Land, we'll be staying here for a while. As the ones who eliminated the threat of Enel—who arguably saved your Sky Island—we'll take some gold as compensation. As for whether you Shandians and Skypieans want to fight or not, that's up to you. Just don't cause me trouble for the next three days." Rosen made his stance clear.

But this didn't sit well with the Shandians or the former Divine Guard. It wasn't about the gold or how long Rosen's group stayed.

It was the way Rosen laid everything out so matter-of-factly—as if he already knew how they would respond. It made them suspicious of his motives.

"Why should we accept that? The Shandians don't welcome you people…" Wyper said darkly, but was immediately struck by a sand bullet from Rosen, sent flying into a tree and coughing blood.

"Did I not make myself clear, or did you not hear me? This shouldn't be too hard to accept. And this isn't a request. Make sure that's understood. You have your reasons. I have mine. I'll only say this once." Rosen's tone remained calm.

The Shandian warriors were stunned—Wyper was their strongest fighter, yet he'd been casually swatted aside.

Gan Fall furrowed his brow. Honestly, Rosen's terms weren't unreasonable—in fact, they were generous. If Rosen hadn't defeated Enel, Sky Island might have been completely destroyed.

Gan Fall had heard from the surviving guards that Enel's plan was indeed to wipe out the entire island, and he had already begun executing it.

But turning both Enel and the Holy Land over to a Blue Sea person still made them uneasy. After all, Upper Yard was deeply significant to both the Shandians and Skypieans.

Sand, in particular, was a rare and symbolic resource on Sky Island. For the Shandians, it wasn't the gold that mattered—it was the symbolic things, like the promised bell.

So even though Rosen had saved the island, they didn't fully trust the newcomers. They had no idea what these Blue Sea people would do next.

If Rosen truly only wanted a little gold and a few days of rest, they wouldn't mind at all. They'd welcome him with open arms and celebrate.

But it was the uncertainty that made them wary.

"Boss, may I handle the negotiations? I also have some questions for them," Robin stepped forward, seeing the conflicted expressions on the faces of the Shandians and Skypieans.

"Sure," Rosen said casually. Let the professional handle it.

Sky Islanders weren't powerful enough to be a real threat, but they could be a nuisance. That was why Rosen had laid everything out in advance.

As for killing them all? Rosen wasn't a butcher. If they hadn't attacked him, he wouldn't harm them. He didn't kill the innocent.

But he didn't expect that once Robin started talking, she'd uncover something big.
