"Oh yeah, Silva, there is something else I want to ask you. How would you enforce a contract that was made between you and members of another guild?"
"A contract between me and members of another guild? It depends on what kind of contract it is." said Silva.
"What about a contract that pertains to life and death? Like a contract regarding the terms of a duel." said Reon.
"Oh, for something like that where you're relying on a contract for proof, you would need a Judge." said Silva.
Silva told Reon that Judges were part of the Grand Marshalate which has the same authority as the king.
A judge will determine if the terms of a duel are lawful and then enforce the results of the duel.
This was to prevent people from abusing the nature of duels to take advantage of those who couldn't protect themselves.
For example, a warrior could not just challenge a small child to a duel for all of his family's property, then kill him off.
Reon showed Silva the contract he signed with Spryta and Gole and she confirmed that for that kind of arrangement he would need a judge to vouch for it before it could be enforced.
"You should request the village lord to enforce this; he has the same authority as a Grand Marshalate Judge within Crux as it is his domain. But are you sure you want to go through with fighting two members of Raider Corps at the same time?" said Silva.
"I'm sure. From what I know, Flyers has less than ten 3-Star warriors. This way we'll get at least two more, you're close with the village lord right?" said Reon.
"Yes, he's actually my uncle," said Silva. "How did you know that though?"
"Well the way you perk up when you mention the village lord shows me that you're proud of him in a sense, and you both have white colored hair so it figures that you're related." Reon explained.
"Wow! You could tell just off of that? Impressive." said Silva.
"I know what it's like having an uncle that you're proud of, my uncle taught me most of what I know about being a warrior, since you're already so close to him, could you request for the village lord to uphold this contract, it would be a big help." said Reon.
"Alright, I'll help you out, Reon." said Silva.
Reon walked away from Silva and took a look at the wall filled with papers.
This was the mission request board and each paper on the wall was a mission that the guild members could take. There were dozens of possible missions which was good for Reon since he wanted to take a few to earn money quickly.
Each paper had a number of stars stamped in red in the top middle showing what level the mission was. There were many 1 and 2 Star missions, but there were also a few 3-Star and 4-Star missions on the board. Reon saw no 5-Star missions because only high tier guilds could get those types of missions.
Under the star level was information about the mission, then under that there was a message about what type of warrior the person who made the request wanted for the job.
Some people wanted people who were experienced with killing beasts and dressing them.
Under this kind of information was the reward whoever completed the mission was entitled to. All rewards were given to the guild before its people put the mission request up. It was kept somewhere safe until the mission got completed. If the person felt it was taking too long they could request their reward amount back unless someone had already registered for the mission.
Looking through the request board, Reon took interest in a few hunting missions. They seemed to always pay well, Reon saw at least 2000 Zeal rewards on every 2-Star hunting mission.
Reon made sure to check thoroughly and was surprised to see a mission that only paid 5 Zeal.
Reon knew that was an abysmally low amount even amongst the 1-Star missions, but the paper showed this mission was 3-Star level.
The mission details were blank, so Reon checked what the requester wrote.

— Raqm'El of Emerald Cove)
Reon thought it was strange but continued to search for a few minutes. He couldn't seem to find a mission that attracted him, some paid well but didn't seem too important to him. Then he looked at the request from Raqm'El again, this time he took it off the wall and walked back to Silva.
"Hey Silva, do you know about this mission?" asked Reon, showing Silva the paper in his hand.
"Ah that one! I was supposed to take it down but I guess I forgot. It has been on the request board for months and no one has taken it since the reward is basically nothing. Why? Were you interested in it?" Silva sneered.
"Yes, I think I'm going to take this mission, what can you tell me about a place called Emerald Cove?" said Reon.
"Let's see," said Silva.
She pulled out a large thick book from under the registration desk. Sifting through it she stopped on a certain page.
"Emerald Cove. It's north-east of Crux by the Akram Isles, the closest settlement to it is a small fishing hamlet called Woodrow. If you want to go there its going to be a long trip. Are you sure you want to go for 5 zeal?" Silva smirked.
"This mission piqued my interest, so I'm going." said Reon.
As he was about to leave he stopped.
"Sorry to ask you this but there is a very important favor I need to ask of you, I promise I'll pay you back to make it well worth it when I get the money." said Reon.
"What could it be?" said Silva.
Reon got Silva to agree to take care of his badger cubs while he went away. He couldn't ask much more of Silva so for the costs of the trip he got a small loan from Raya.
Raya also showed him that he now had the number 2 guild plaque, which Reon gave him a high five for. When Reon had first met Raya, he definitely thought that Hyo seemed more imposing, but Raya has surpassed Hyo since then. This gave Reon even more hope that he could get stronger too.
The journey to Woodrow fishing hamlet took 3 days, when Reon arrived he immediately started to ask around about Raqm'El, and was told he lived in a cabin on the hill of Emerald Cove.
Reon found the cabin and knocked on the door. It opened and Reon saw a tall brown skinned old man wearing a red turban. Th old man also wore a red vest made of thick cloth, and dark red pants kept up with a black belt.
The old man's vest showed his arms and chest, exposing a fit physique.
"Are you Raqm'El?" asked Reon.
"Yes, but who is asking?" said the old man with a heavy accent.
"I am Reon DeValt. I'm here for the mission you posted." said Reon.
He showed Raqm'El the paper he had for the mission.
Raqm'El looked the paper over as his eyes widened.
"Ah yes, I'm surprised that someone actually took this mission. You may come inside." said Raqm'El.
