Chapter 753 - Chapter 753: Venus

The first ship of the Morning Star-class, under normal circumstances, should have been named Morning Star.

However, there was a complication. The first Morning Star-class spaceship actually built by Cherry Military Industry had already been officially designated by the Federation as a Morning Star-class frigate, and its name was indeed Morning Star.

This meant that, assuming the Federation was unaware of the other two ships (and even if they were, they wouldn't admit it and would pretend not to know), there now existed a situation where two ships bore the same name.

It wasn't a major issue. After all, Ethan didn't live in that world, and two ships from different worlds sharing the same name wasn't something to fuss over.

But Ethan had a touch of obsessive-compulsiveness. The more he thought about it, the more irritated he became, so he simply decided to rename his ship.

"What should we call it?"

Without much effort, Ethan took the entire spaceship and traveled through planes, returning to the 'main world.'

He carefully chose a landing spot, appearing not far from the Artemis, which had already received the notice and begun slowing down in advance. After a period of deceleration, the Artemis came to a steady stop beside the new ship.

At that moment, Ethan also thought of a name for the new ship.

"How about Venus?"

Morning Star is Venus, and Venus is also called Venus. Ethan felt this name was quite fitting.

Mordred was indifferent to the naming. She didn't care what the ship was called. What interested her more was the detailed data and combat capabilities of the ship.

The veterans she brought with her had a similar attitude. They took advantage of the opportunity to board the new ship and even got a look at the interior before the official crew did.

However, they were all self-aware. No one wandered off or trespassed. They gathered quietly, constantly glancing around.

Just as they were wondering if they'd be allowed to see more of the ship, the young man named Ethan, who had been standing there a moment ago, suddenly vanished into thin air.

Some of those who witnessed it were stunned. Others, who didn't see it but sensed something was off, quickly realized Ethan was gone. Then, they heard the unbelievable explanation from those nearby.

"How is that possible? You must be seeing things."

He must have left through some hidden passage. Maybe there's an elevator or something.

"No, I'm certain. I was watching that spot the whole time. He just disappeared."

Someone even nudged Krauser, who had also been watching that area as they chatted casually.

"Hey, did you see that?"

"Yeah, he just disappeared."

Krauser remained calm. He had seen too many strange and bizarre things and wasn't surprised by this kind of magical phenomenon.

Or perhaps, the more powerful and mysterious these people were, the more pleased he felt.

White Ghost and Duke, who were nearby, were also discussing the miraculous scene of Ethan's disappearance. Duke was eager to know if White Ghost, this extraordinary "ninja," could do something similar.

"I can't."

"Was it some kind of illusion?"

"No. He just vanished."

White Ghost, who had undergone all kinds of related training, was confident in his eyesight and reflexes. He was certain Ethan had simply disappeared.

While these veterans were still pondering how Ethan had pulled it off, Ethan had already returned to the Artemis and sent messages to all the crew members.

He had a lot to do. First, he had to recall everyone and have them pack their personal belongings.

Then, he needed to use the time to complete Luna's data transfer and move the AI system to the new Venus. Fortunately, this task didn't require much effort. All he had to do was plug a special receiving device into Venus, and Luna could handle the rest.

Once the transfer was complete, he would take out Luna's core chip and insert it into the new main computer.

After that, Luna's performance would be further enhanced. Tony had already prepared a data upgrade package in the new computer, allowing Luna to upgrade and update herself.

The data transfer would take a considerable amount of time, so Ethan planned to use that interval to retrieve a few people still training in other worlds.

For people like Annette, once notified, they would know what to do and could contact the Artemis directly via personal terminals to teleport back.

However, Shirou and Sherry, who were sent out for training, would require Ethan to retrieve them personally.

When Shirou, Artoria, and Sherry returned, Ethan could tell from one glance that their condition wasn't great. Although they didn't have any visible injuries, their mental exhaustion was obvious to anyone who wasn't blind.

"You guys don't look so good."

Shirou tugged at the corner of his mouth, wanting to say something but not knowing how to begin. In the end, he just lowered his head silently.

Artoria, who had recently become more energetic, also fell silent. She reached out and gently patted Shirou's back, seemingly to comfort him.

Sherry looked a little dazed and finally let out a sigh. "I've brought back all the information you might be interested in. I'll upload it to the server later... and also send a copy to Tony."

This was the standard procedure, but this time it felt a bit different.

"Don't worry about uploading that for now. The reason I called you back is because we're moving."

"Moving again?"

Shirou glanced at Sherry beside him, not quite understanding what "again" meant.

"Did you forget? The Artemis was just a temporary transition ship. Now that our own ship has been built, we're naturally moving onto it."

"Uh..." Sherry looked a little dazed. She had completely forgotten about that. A new ship was built while she was away? That confused her. "How long was I gone this time?"

"A little over a year. Did you forget the industrial capabilities of the Starship Troopers world? Even a main battleship over a thousand meters long doesn't take that long to build there, and our new ship is only a little over five hundred meters."

Shirou, listening from the side, was speechless. Over five hundred meters was already enormous. Even the aircraft carriers or battleships in his world that were considered sea beasts weren't that large.

If Shirou had more knowledge of ships, he'd know that outside of Earths with special conditions, up to his time, the largest ship on Earth was a crude oil tanker that was four hundred fifty-eight meters long.

"Let's go check out the new ship first."

"Wait a sec. I'll establish a stable transfer gate first."

Ethan told Sherry to pack up her things. They'd be moving soon. Meanwhile, he went to set up a stable teleportation gate to make it easy for everyone to move back and forth.

Items like public supplies and consumables, even if the new ship wasn't lacking them, couldn't just be left on the Artemis. They had to be cleared out. Even if they weren't useful anymore and had to be discarded, they couldn't all be left behind.

Unless there was some special situation, the Artemis wouldn't be preserved as a commemorative vessel like the Goddess of Dawn and Prinz Eugen in the future.

"I'll help too!"

Shirou hadn't actually moved onto the ship yet. Although he had a room on the Artemis, he only had a few personal belongings stored there, and it didn't take long to pack up.

It didn't feel right to just stand around, so he volunteered to help Ethan, taking on the task of clearing out public resources from the ship—especially the stored food ingredients, which he, as a cook, was more familiar with.

While the two of them were busy, the Artemis crew began returning one after another. Everyone was already used to moving. Ethan only needed to give a few brief instructions, and everyone knew what to do.

They returned to their rooms to pack their personal items. With everyone now having personal storage space, they could carry all their belongings with them.

By the time everyone was done, Ethan had already established a stable teleportation gate connecting the two ships.

At this moment, Mordred's soldiers were startled again. What was that blue light gate? Some kind of advanced technology?

However, Mordred explained to them, "That's teleportation magic." Through that gate, they could return to the Artemis, gather whatever belongings were still there, and bring them over.

So... the seemingly young captain was actually a mage?

The men and women who appeared one after another finally allowed them to see the ship's actual crew. Logan and O'Connell were classic tough guys. Jonathan, although once a petty thief, had a very good appearance. After years on various battlefields, his sneaky air had long disappeared, replaced by a sharp and competent British aura.

As veterans, they could sense that none of these people were easy to deal with.

Fortunately, all of them were seasoned soldiers. No one was dumb enough to try flirting with the few beautiful women, or they would've ended up in a miserable state.

Even the seemingly harmless young girls (who had temporarily returned from leave) could easily knock out these soldiers.

Neither side stirred up trouble. Logan and the others couldn't be bothered to bully a group of "rookies," while the soldiers didn't understand the situation yet and didn't dare act rashly.

The move went smoothly. After nearly half a day, the Artemis had been cleared out. All personal belongings and public resources were packed up.

Even Luna had finished her data transfer. All that remained was to extract her core chip and insert it into the new main computer.

But Ethan still had one last thing to take care of, which was the transfer of the teleportation device.
