Ino had known about Jigen and the mastermind behind him, Otsutsuki Isshiki, from the very beginning, so she listened to this information as if it were just a story. The Kara organization had always hidden within a small plane attached to the shinobi world. This place once belonged to a certain shinobi world deity. Just like the Shinigami's space, the deities were killed by the Otsutsuki, and their dimensions were left behind.

For these thousands of years, he had been searching for a suitable "vessel" into which to re-implant the "Wedge," allowing him to be reborn as a perfect copy of himself. But unfortunately, he never found a suitable target.
Relying on his Otsutsuki power for constant repairs, Jigen, an ordinary monk born before the Warring States period, had somehow lived for several thousand years.
Now, he was nearly at his limit, with probably only a dozen or so years of life left at most. In the last century, he began to accelerate his search for a "vessel." His series of actions became much more active than in the preceding centuries. Establishing the Kara organization, recruiting Amado Sanzu, and later bringing a black sheep like Orochimaru into the organization were all choices of last resort.
"It really is you, Isshiki. You're still alive," a clear voice rang out from behind.
Otsutsuki Isshiki, controlling Jigen's body, was greatly alarmed. Without even turning around, he flung out several grain-sized metal cubes. Controlled by his dōjutsu, these cubes instantly expanded to the size of small houses, crashing down with immense weight onto the entire area behind him.
