Zetsu immediately jumped out to flatter her, but before he could say more than a few words, the sea of sand suddenly sank. After a brief pause, it violently erupted with a giant pillar of sand over a thousand meters high.
"Super Shinra Tensei!" Even with this powerful technique, Ino couldn't completely push away all the sand on her body. However, gaining a small opening, she quickly used the Crossing Moon Bridge to return to the ground.
She brought Madara, Hashirama, and Gekko Hayate out with her.
To protect the two Konoha ninja, Hashirama had acted as a human shield. The majority of the countless grains of sand had pressed down on him. The sand was so heavy that even after escaping the sea of sand, his bones were still making cracking sounds, and blood was streaming from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.
Ino wanted to heal him, but he waved her off. "It's fine. My constitution is special, I'll be fine in a moment."
Pant, pant... Super Shinra Tensei consumed a great deal of chakra and ocular power. Ino, now covered in sand, looked a bit battered, no longer exuding the same relaxed confidence she had when suppressing Madara and trouncing Obito and Otsutsuki Toneri.
"Hey, are you even capable? You look pathetic," Madara quipped sarcastically.
"Shut your mouth. I was the one with the upper hand in our last fight." Ino didn't put up with this oversized Sasuke, retorting sharply right from the start.
Facing Kaguya Otsutsuki, she had to fight with all her might!
She glanced at Hashirama. The recovery speed of his Sage body was indeed fast; in just this short time, his injuries were already halfway healed.
"I'll take the lead. You two back me up."
The next second, a golden Susanoo materialized out of thin air.
The feminine Susanoo held a shield in its left hand and a longsword in its right. A glittering golden rope she had fashioned from a Truth-Seeking Orb hung at its waist.
Kaguya Otsutsuki seemed to want to see what other tricks she had up her sleeve and didn't rush to attack. Ino formed hand signs again.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
The golden Susanoo with its long hair mirrored the hand signs.
The Yin Nine-Tails, who had been lazily sleeping in a corner of the Core Dimension, was summoned by her to the battlefield.
The Core Dimension was vast. Madara, Hashirama, and the others had been there before during their fight with Kaguya, but the Yin Nine-Tails had hidden itself so well that neither side had noticed it. Now, there was no escaping.
The enemy was Kaguya Otsutsuki!
By the time Master Six Paths was dividing the chakra, its mother had already been sealed for many years.
The Nine-Tails had never met Kaguya Otsutsuki, but it had the memory of her, and this memory was profound. Moreover, the Nine-Tails possessed roughly half of the Ten-Tails' chakra, and with it, roughly half of the Ten-Tails' memories.
It recognized Kaguya Otsutsuki, the impression was unforgettable.
Now, facing this Rabbit Goddess, the Nine-Tails trembled with fear.
Ino didn't give it any time to think. "Come on! Old Nine, you will form the head!"
The Yin Nine-Tails didn't want to be devoured by the Ten-Tails. It sighed in resignation, entered the Susanoo, and formed the same hand sign as the Susanoo.
"Majestic Attire: Susanoo!"
The dog-headed Susanoo appeared once more. She had Master Six Paths' "equal division" of the Tailed Beasts to thank for this. If he had truly divided the chakra equally, summoning the Nine-Tails would have been useless, and Ino would have been at a complete disadvantage.
Now, with the Yin Nine-Tails' appearance, she managed to regain some ground in terms of chakra.
She played another trump card: the Shinigami Mask.
As she put on the Shinigami Mask, she infused the power of the Shinigami into the Susanoo as a unique and potent form of natural energy.
A white haori appeared over the golden Susanoo's body. Combined with the armored dog-head, from a distance, it surprisingly resembled a captain of the 7th Division...
"Sage Art: Majestic Attire: Susanoo!"
On the other side, Madara also entered his Perfect Susanoo state. Hashirama, in a sand dimension utterly devoid of life, was somehow still able to use Wood Release, summoning his True Several Thousand Hands as well. The two Susanoo and the Thousand-Hand Kannon statue, all colossal figures over two hundred meters tall, took up a fan-shaped formation, locking onto Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Gekko Hayate, meanwhile, wielded his samurai sword, looking for an opening on the perimeter.
Kaguya Otsutsuki, facing four opponents, formed white bone blades in the palms of her hands and, despite being completely outnumbered, launched the first attack.
Her movements were agile as she weaved back and forth, moving with an effortless grace like a solitary dancing sprite.
She held her palm upright, and a bone blade pierced a large hole straight through Madara's Susanoo. Her pristine feet, untouched by a speck of dust, landed on the shoulder of Ino's Susanoo. Then, she brought her hands together, and two bone blades shot out from her palms.
"Sage Art: Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"
Ino's Susanoo spat out a line of water that sliced through the bone blades.
But as she tried to control the water line to cut Kaguya, the latter had already appeared behind Gekko Hayate. She struck out with a series of palm attacks, and poor Hayate's chakra points were battered repeatedly. He was sent flying like a broken kite, landing on the sand, and didn't get up again.
"One," she said coldly.
Uchiha Madara had the highest lust for battle. He controlled his Susanoo to swing its twin swords downward, carving a brilliant diagonal cross-slash!
Kaguya Otsutsuki dodged it with ghostly ease. She spread her arms, in a move somewhat reminiscent of Kimimaro's "Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets," but the scale and power were on a completely different level.
A terrifying, sky-covering volley of white bones emerged from her spine. Each bone was as sharp as a dagger, coated in a dense Yin-Yang Release power.
"Yachi Hoko no Kami!"
A dense rain of bone spurs shot toward the three of them.
Uchiha Madara controlled his Susanoo, swinging his twin swords to create an impenetrable defense, but there were still blind spots he couldn't cover. Kaguya Otsutsuki used Yomotsu Hirasaka, bypassing the Susanoo entirely and appearing directly behind him.
Madara's fatal flaw of being easily backstabbed was truly deadly. It was clear that Kaguya's sudden appearance behind him made his body freeze for an instant. He was then pushed into a pitch-black portal. Behind the portal was a sea of crimson lava. With a light tap of Kaguya's finger, the portal closed.
"Two," she stated, her face devoid of expression.
With her side losing members one after another, Ino launched a tempestuous assault.
"Immortal Binding Rope!" She raised her shield with her left hand to block the bone spurs while throwing the golden rope from her waist with her right. The rope, as if alive, snaked through the air and coiled around Kaguya Otsutsuki's slender waist. Ino then controlled the Susanoo to pull with all its might.
While fending off the bone spurs, Hashirama unleashed another round of "Top Transformed Buddha."
Kaguya Otsutsuki allowed herself to be pulled in front of Ino. A bone blade emerged from the palm of each of her hands. Activating her Byakugan to its fullest, she unleashed a hundred slashes in a single second, a torrential downpour of blade light.
"Okamitsunu!"
Holy shit! Ino cursed aloud. Who the hell said Kaguya Otsutsuki wasn't skilled in combat? Show yourself!
Her golden Susanoo had an arm sliced clean off. Even as she hastily raised her shield to defend, the Susanoo, and the Yin Nine-Tails within it, were struck seventeen or eighteen times.
"Son of a bitch!" Like a certain captain from another country, she swung her arm and threw her shield.
It was the first time Kaguya Otsutsuki had seen someone fight like this. She reacted half a second too late. The edge of the shield was infused with Nine-Tails chakra, making it as sharp as a fox's claw. Spinning rapidly, it left a bright red gash on her left cheek. For the first time in this long battle, she was injured.
