#RAGNAR POV#
"WE MUST REACH THE CAMP NOW..." I hear Balgruuf scream at everyone
I slam my axe down into a Draugr's head and rip it out as I help a soldier who was thrown down into the ground by an undead wielding a Warhammer
"Quickly..." I tell the soldier as we run toward the camp, and even from this distance, I can see that most of the refugees are nearly gone
Something on the corner of my life makes me duck, and I narrowly avoid having my head cut off by a Draugr
The soldier behind jumps on the Draugr and rips its rusty armored arm off it, and starts to hit the Draugr again and again
I send a firebolt toward the Draugr, finally killing it and the soldier, and I make our way over
I notice Albedo killing her way over while Marika launches spells that turn dozens of undead into dust
The soldier I saved fights alongside me as we cut and occasionally blast our way to the edge of the refugee camp
Arriving, I managed to dodge an arrow that would have probably hit my throat
Marika and Albedo arrive next, followed by the Soldiers of Whiterun and the Jarl
I almost cheer when I see arrows fly from the soldiers manning the walls, hitting the undead, and I look at the hundreds of undead, and just as the Flesh spell cast on me by Marika fades away, she casts it again on me and Albedo, preventing me from feeling the after effects of my enhanced strength disappearing
Marika raises her hands as she prepares to cast a potent healing spell she created under my orders
"EVERYONE, WE NEED TO BUY HER TIME," I say, gesturing toward Marika as Albedo wordlessly steps in front of Marika and feeds Marika a set of three regeneration potions for Health, Stamina, and Magicka
Albedo turns around and raises her axe while using one hand to start to alter the terrain to slow down the undead, while the soldiers, Jarl, and I prepare for when they get near
Some of the undead trip over the altered ground, and some are even killed as Albedo focuses her magic on creating stone spikes that pierce through the Draugr, creating small obstacles with their bodies as they hang on the spike
I frown as I notice some Draugr riding undead horses and even spot some undead werewolves in the army, but thankfully not that many
After a few moments, they finally get near us, and we clash again, and they try to break into the somewhat empty refugee camp
Just in time for Marika to launch her spell
A ball of magical golden light shines in the sky, and everywhere the light touches, it aids the living and weakens the undead
The living are slowly healed, while also aiding in recovering their stamina
The Undead are moving more slowly as they are starting to get weaker due to the restoration spell
I slam my axe into the head of a Draugr and cleave right into the middle of its chest with surprising ease, and quickly get moving to the next one while trying not to get hit by one of their rusted weapons...
It takes us a few minutes to take down hundreds of undead and that is when I realize one thing...
These...these must have been normal Draugr...
Not a single one of them used a shout...
A chill crawls up my spine as people as I make my way over to Marika and Albedo, who clean their weapons...
"EVERYONE...LEAVE THE AREA...NOW..." Marika orders, interrupting the cheers as she and Albedo run over to me
Albedo's wings come out as she grabs Marika and me in her hands and takes us flying
Marika casts as many flesh spells as she can on the soldiers, making sure that Jarl has one cast on him already
Everyone starts running as they see us move quickly
The answer as to why is made clear as the bodies of the Undead start to glow
I cast the most powerful Ward spell I can to shield us as Albedo takes us flying away from the area
The ones that were still standing around get moving as they finally start running...too late...
The corpses detonate, and I barely manage to make the ward hold from the sheer force of the explosions
Even then, we are still flying in the air as Albedo holds on to us tightly
We crash land a fair distance away with the flesh spells still protecting us...
"Do the 2 of you still have all your limbs capable of moving them?" I wheeze out as I breathe in heavily, as all the air in my lungs goes out for a moment
"Yeah/Yes..." They say as I stand up and look at the massive cloud covering the refugee camp...or what is left of it...
I gasp as I see the damage
The entire camp is filled with so many holes and body parts from the ones that didn't manage to get away
#CRACK#
I turn my head to the noise and my eyes widen at the crack on the wall as it breaks...
Showing the city of Whiterun...now exposed
The city...has been breached
Roars fill the air as I turn around and nearly groan as 3 dragons come flying from the direction of High Hrogthgar...
Well, 2 of them are holding and biting at each other while the third one tries to give chase
"You have got to be shitting me..." I whisper as I prepare myself while grabbing some potion bottles from my belt, and drink them
Making sure to space them out in increments of 15 seconds so as not to overwhelm my body and give the potions a chance to enhance me
I put my axe away and grab my sword, and prepare a ward spell in my left hand
Albedo and Marika take positions next to me
"Marika, go to the wall and do everything you can to close it. Albedo, you and I will provide cover for her while trying to help the grey-brown dragon fighting the purple and an orange one..." I order, and as soon as I am done, we spring into action as Marika uses Alteration magic to repair the wall as best she can as she gets near
I take a single glance at the Jarl being held up by some of his men, but he thankfully doesn't look too injured due to the Ebony flesh spell still on him
Albedo launches several firebolts at the Orange Dragon's head while I switch the Ward spell for my lightning Bolt spell and hit the purple one...
Which, in hindsight, may not have been a good idea
If the colors match the strength like they did in the game, all of us are pretty much fucked...or we would be...if Paarthanaux wasn't a fucking unit
He takes the opportunity, as we distract the dragon, to bite down on the neck of the purple one while slamming his right arm...leg...whatever...on the head of the other one
Ripping out the throat of the purple one while breaking the head of the other one under his arm
"Damn," I say, looking at Parthanaux with his face and arm/leg bloody
He definitely didn't need help
His head snaps toward me as he stares at me
Golden light starts pouring out from the 2 dead dragons and starts coming toward me
Even then, I don't dare turn my attention away from him
"Meet me at the top of the mountain..." He says before flapping his wings and ascending high into the air...
