"Miss Kaguya, aren't you going to Ren's room?"
"Room!?"
The topic changed abruptly, and a casual question shattered Kaguya's usual calm and composed demeanor.
"Hayasaka, don't suddenly joke about such things."
A faint blush rose on Kaguya's fair cheeks. As a proper young lady, such a topic was a bit inappropriate.
"Is it a joke?"
Seeing her reaction, Hayasaka couldn't help but laugh to herself. Tilting her head slightly, she spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Miss Kaguya and Ren are dating now, aren't they?"
"Of course."
Kaguya answered with full confidence.
Ren had responded to her confession. They were officially in a relationship now.
"Since that's the case, Miss Kaguya has every right to go to Ren's room."
"Or... does Miss Kaguya not want to dote on Ren properly?"
"Of course I do."
Of course she wanted to dote on Ren.
"It's just that the opportunity hasn't come up yet."
Yes, there really hadn't been a good chance. If there had, she would have already started monopolizing him.
It was just a shame that those chances were few and far between.
In response, Hayasaka gave her a slightly disappointed look.
"That's because Miss Kaguya doesn't know how to take the initiative."
"Look at Sonoko, and look at Ran. They're both very proactive."
"Miss Kaguya should try being more assertive too."
To be honest, Hayasaka had been feeling anxious watching from the sidelines. Especially after learning that Sonoko had already taken the initiative to go to Ren's room, she hoped even more that Kaguya would step up.
"I-I'll try my best."
A weak response.
Hayasaka sighed inwardly. Honestly, with the way things were going, she didn't know when Kaguya and Ren would make progress.
If Kaguya didn't take the initiative, it would be difficult for Ren to make the first move.
The last time with Sonoko was also because Sonoko took the lead. Ren's limit seemed to be second base—hugs and kisses. If Kaguya wanted to reach home plate, she had to be the one to take the lead.
"Miss Kaguya, if you don't try harder, maybe someone else will end up entering Ren's room first."
Knock knock knock!
---
"Chika?"
Ren opened the door and saw Chika standing outside.
It was already late at night. Chika was dressed in a soft, pink, dress-like nightgown. It wasn't particularly revealing or flashy, but the material looked gentle and appropriately warm for the season.
Even though the design was modest, it looked surprisingly alluring on Chika.
She really was a natural clothes hanger.
Ren couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
With her keen senses, Chika clearly noticed Ren staring, but instead of backing away, she held her head high with a trace of pride in her expression.
A good figure was one of her strengths. And since she knew Ren liked girls with good figures, she had no reason to hide it.
He glanced behind her.
No sign of Ran, Sonoko, or Kaguya.
"Ren, does what you said last time still count?"
"Which part?"
"That I could come to you later if I needed to."
Ren remembered. Back when she drank the potion and he helped her with guidance, he had said that.
He even recalled Chika sneakily kissing his cheek at the end.
"Of course it counts."
Upon hearing his response, a bright smile bloomed on Chika's face.
"In that case, I'll be troubling you tonight, Ren~"
Her radiant smile made Ren pause for a second, then a faint smile appeared on his lips as he stepped aside.
"Come in."
"Mhm."
Chika entered the room, then flopped down on the soft bed, kicked off her slippers, and placed her feet directly on it. Her posture was natural, as though this was her room all along.
"Mmm—"
Chika stretched her body and let out an odd hum. Ren assumed she was just stretching, but she really needed to be careful with that posture, especially considering her chest.
"Chika, careful."
Ren pointed at his own chest as a subtle reminder.
Chika looked down, not flustered at all. In fact, she proudly puffed out her chest.
"My pajamas are super conservative. They don't show anything. And it's a tight-fit design. Moeha and my sister both like this kind."
As she spoke, she tilted her head and smiled at Ren.
"Ren, you like girls with good figures, don't you?"
Such a direct question made Ren reflexively avert his gaze.
"Well, it's not entirely that."
Watching him avoid eye contact, Chika laughed playfully.
"Of course not entirely. Kaguya's petite, but you like her too, right?"
"...You dare say that? If Kaguya heard you, she'd glare you to death with her killer stare."
"It's fine, it's fine~ Kaguya's angry expressions are super cute~"
Chika wasn't scared in the least. She knew those stares were just Kaguya's cute way of showing jealousy. Honestly, she found it rather endearing.
"You don't know—ah wait, you do know. Kaguya used to be so cold and indifferent. I always thought it was a shame for someone so pretty to keep such a blank face. She's clearly adorable, and her face is so lovely. I always wished she could show more emotions."
"I never thought I'd see that happen. But ever since she met you, Ren, her expressions have become so much more colorful."
"Even if I get glared at, I'm happy."
Ren walked over and lightly flicked her nose.
"So you provoke Kaguya on purpose, huh?"
"Not on purpose. It's just that Kaguya's emotional range has expanded lately. Hmm, I think this is also your influence, Ren."
Ren didn't deny it.
Kaguya had indeed changed. It was partly due to them dating, but also because of Hayasaka's confession and the resolution of the Shinomiyas' issues.
"So, you came here just to tell me this?"
"Of course not."
Chika shook her head.
It was late at night, already time for bed. Who would come to a guy's room just to chat?
She reached into the pocket of her nightgown and pulled out a small glass bottle filled with a strange liquid.
"Ta-da~ This is the Telepathist. I finally got it after saving up points for so long."
(To be continued.)
