After Heiji left the tearoom, Heizo Hattori and Ginshiro Toyama sat together.
"Heizo, you really got the short end of the stick this time. I did not expect Heiji to pull a stunt like that."
Heizo only smiled slightly.
"He is still young, so it is inevitable he will act impulsively for the sake of justice."
"At this age, once he meets a few like-minded friends, he cannot help wanting to help others."
He knew his son's actions and thoughts all too well.
Young boys all have that drive. With his son's personality, once he sets his sights on something, he will charge ahead relentlessly, even if it means getting hurt.
"It is just, I did not expect the higher-ups of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department… Superintendent General Hakuba to hide something like that."
"I think he had no choice."
Ginshiro also sighed. He had been stunned when he heard the news.
"Even the Superintendent General would not dare to publicize such information easily."
"If it were made public, who knows what would happen externally. Internally, it would definitely plunge into chaos."
"And the Superintendent General is probably considering international factors."
Heizo nodded slightly.
"That organization has always been an international assassin organization. If their secret is fully exposed now, I am afraid official agencies from various countries will start infiltrating the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department."
"And there will be pressure from certain countries."
"If the intelligence on that organization had been seized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department under controllable circumstances, everything could have been kept hidden. But it happened beyond control, especially with the involvement of that third party."
"They deliberately left information about the organization and the drug, probably to force the Police to disclose some of it."
"If the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department does not respond, and crucial information gets exposed by a third party, the entire country will face unprecedented trouble."
"Superintendent General Hakuba likely had no choice but to hold back part of the information and disclose only a portion."
"Mm, I think so too."
Ginshiro agreed.
"They withheld some key information and only exposed the drug experiments and the organization."
"Although there are troubles, since the third party chose silence, it should be the outcome they wanted."
"It can be confirmed they are hostile to that organization. Otherwise they would not have used such a roundabout method."
"And what is most headache-inducing for Superintendent General Hakuba now is probably not that organization, but that third party."
Heizo agreed.
"An unknown, yet highly capable special organization."
"All we know is that the third party has the ability to transfer and hide the Miyano sisters right under the noses of the Police and the organization."
"The organization is well-known internationally, but this third party seems to have appeared out of thin air."
"There are no clues, yet their methods are beyond imagination."
This third party was the biggest headache.
However, there were no leads on them.
Heizo had also mobilized forces to investigate, but found nothing but a blank slate.
Unlike the internationally known assassin organization, that third party had no information at all.
"But you, you actually agreed to Heiji's request."
Heizo shook his head slightly, a hint of helplessness on his face.
"That kid cannot turn back once he encounters something like this. He is like a stubborn mule."
"If we agree, we can still keep him under control. If we refuse, he might act in secret, which would be even more dangerous."
Ginshiro also showed a helpless expression.
He had to admit, Heizo's concern was reasonable, because he knew Heiji truly had that kind of personality.
Thinking, he raised his head and glanced at Heizo opposite him.
The corners of his mouth began to twitch.
"Yes, this child, I do not know who he takes after."
Heizo pretended not to see it.
Ginshiro withdrew his teasing gaze and sighed.
"It is just, if Heiji decides to do this, he might not be able to take Kazuha along when he acts in the future."
Heizo fell slightly silent, then shook his head.
"This is his own decision."
"If he takes Kazuha while investigating those people, I am sure Shizuka will break his legs."
Ginshiro pictured it, and his face twitched.
"Indeed."
"If Shizuka knew, she would definitely break both of Heiji's legs."
Knowing Hattori Shizuka's personality and how much she loved his daughter, she truly treated Kazuha as her own.
If Shizuka learned Heiji was taking Kazuha into danger, it would be strange if she did not get angry and deal with him harshly.
"Let Heiji and Kazuha handle it themselves. It is better if we do not interfere too much."
"Have some tea."
"Mm."
The two continued to sit quietly in the tearoom, sipping tea. This was the only time they could relax and digest the shocking information they had just received.
Kazuha, who had run back to her house next door, was furiously punching her pillow in her room.
"Idiot Heiji!"
She knew Heiji must have had something very important to do in Tokyo.
As his childhood friend, she was all too familiar with the look on his face when he had something on his mind.
She had known it the moment she saw him in the entryway.
And the reason he was unwilling to say anything was clear. He must have encountered a dangerous case, and he was trying to keep her from getting involved.
After punching it several times, Kazuha slowly calmed down. She tossed the pillow aside and collapsed onto the bed.
Although she was furious, she could not confront Heiji directly, because she would not get any answers.
With his personality, he would not tell her anything unless he chose to speak himself.
"Tokyo… I must find a chance to investigate thoroughly later!"
