Shuckle's Defense was among the highest of all Pokemon. And now, after using Power Trick, that terrifying Defense was converted into overwhelming offensive strength!
The tentacles that were about to be broken free tightened once again in the very next instant! As their power continued to increase, no matter how hard Ninjask struggled, there wasn't the slightest bit of slack!
Not only that—along with Shuckle's cry, several enormous rocks rapidly materialized in the air above Ninjask. Wrapped in white light, they locked onto their target and then dropped straight down!
"Ninjask! Metal Claw!"
Shuckle's sudden counterattack shocked Fang. Seeing the massive rocks about to fall, he knew Ninjask had no chance of escaping. At a moment like this, there was only one option—go all out!
"Yiin!!"
Upon receiving the command, Ninjask let out a sharp cry. Its twin claws gleamed like steel as it stopped struggling altogether and instead dove downward at full speed!
At the exact instant the rocks were about to crash down, those steel claws slashed viciously into Shuckle's body!
"Ruuuumble!!"
A thunderous crash followed as the rocks slammed into the ground. Both Ninjask and Shuckle were buried beneath the rubble, dust billowing everywhere. After that—there was no movement.
"Now announcing the result! Shuckle and Ninjask have both lost the ability to battle! Both Pokemon are eliminated! Please send out your next Pokemon!"
With the situation unclear, the referee entered the field, carefully moved the rocks aside, and discovered that both Pokemon had indeed lost consciousness. He immediately announced the outcome.
Ninjask was extremely fast, but its Defense and stamina were not high. Moreover, its Bug- and Flying-type attributes were both weak to Rock-type moves. After being struck by the terrifying Rock Slide empowered by Power Trick, it was inevitably taken down in a single blow.
As for Delia's Shuckle—after using Power Trick, its Defense had dropped to rock bottom. Then it was hit directly by Ninjask's Steel-type attack. With its already low HP, Shuckle ultimately couldn't withstand the damage either.

As the referee's decision was made, Delia and Fang both took out their PokeBalls and recalled their Pokemon. Fang then took the lead, pulling out another PokeBall and smiling at Delia.
"Miss Delia, since you sent out your Pokemon first last round, I'll go first this time. A bit of gentlemanly courtesy, at least. Go, PokeBall!"
The PokeBall opened midair, releasing a beam of white light. When the glow faded, a sky-blue Wobbuffet stood there blankly on the battlefield.
"Wo~buffet~"
The moment Wobbuffet appeared, all four of its feet were immediately stuck in the Sticky Web. The unpleasant, sticky sensation made it very uncomfortable, and it kept lifting its feet, trying to free itself.
"Wobbuffet, huh? I've fought one before—annoying opponent. And you call this gentlemanly?"
Delia curled her lip as she looked at the sluggish Wobbuffet, then quickly took out another PokeBall and threw it onto the field.
"Go, Blastoise!!"
"Blas-toise!!"
This time, Delia sent out Blastoise. His massive body landed heavily on the rocky battlefield, letting out a powerful roar.
"The battle continues! Blastoise versus Wobbuffet—battle start!!"
Seeing Blastoise enter the field, the referee immediately waved both flags, announcing the continuation of the match.
"Oh? That Wartortle from before evolved? Looks like this'll be a tough fight."
Fang chuckled lightly when he saw Blastoise, his face showing no sign of concern at all—as if he hadn't taken Blastoise seriously in the slightest.
"Hmph. Blastoise, watch out for counterattacks! Use Dark Pulse!"
Delia frowned slightly at Fang's attitude but said nothing. Since the battle had already begun, she immediately ordered an attack. Blastoise's newly learned Dark Pulse was clearly meant to exploit Wobbuffet's Psychic typing and end the fight quickly.
"Blas-toise!!"
Blastoise opened his mouth wide without hesitation, and a Dark Pulse formed from countless black rings shot straight toward Wobbuffet!
"Wobbuffet! Mirror Coat!"
Seeing Dark Pulse come out, Fang was startled. His calm expression vanished instantly as he shouted the command without the slightest delay!
"Wo~buffet!!"
Wobbuffet quickly turned around and puffed out its chest. A layer of pink light surfaced over its blue body as it fearlessly took the full brunt of the Dark Pulse head-on!
"Wo~buffet!!"
The impact bent Wobbuffet's body forward. Even a Pokemon famous for endurance showed clear pain under the powerful force.
But even so—Wobbuffet endured it!
Its bent body snapped upright, pink light surging as the Dark Pulse that had struck it suddenly made a sharp 180-degree turn—rebounding back with even greater power and speed!
"Now, Blastoise!! Get down!"
"Blas-toise!!"
Seeing the Dark Pulse—now nearly twice as thick—coming back, Delia immediately ordered Blastoise to flatten himself against the ground, narrowly avoiding the reflected attack!
Then—
"One more time, Blastoise! Dark Pulse!"
"Blas-toise!!"
At Delia's command, Blastoise—still lying prone—opened his mouth again, firing another Dark Pulse!
"Wobbuffet, Mirror Coat!"
"Wo! Bufffet!!"
Just like before, Wobbuffet endured the attack and reflected it back at double power once again!
But this time—Blastoise didn't manage to dodge!
Boom!!
"Blas-toise!"
Blastoise let out a heavy cry as the Dark Pulse struck him directly, black smoke erupting from the explosion!
After tanking two attacks and successfully countering both, Wobbuffet seemed to have gained the upper hand. But Fang knew the truth—his Wobbuffet was already at its limit. There was no way it could survive another attack.
Even so, Fang still didn't want to recall it. He wanted to gamble everything on one last chance.
But just as his eyes were fixed on the smoke-shrouded battlefield—
"Blastoise! Now's the time! One more Dark Pulse!!"
"Blas-toise!"
Everyone was still waiting for the smoke to fully clear—but just as it thinned slightly, Delia suddenly shouted her command!
At that very instant—
From the river not far from Wobbuffet, Blastoise's deep roar rang out!
Wrapped in surging torrents of water, Blastoise smashed straight through the Sticky Web covering the river's surface, leaped high into the air, mouth wide open—
—and fired another Dark Pulse at full speed!
