The powerful stream of high-pressure water sprayed onto the quicksand covering the ground. As the sand absorbed the water, it solidified and became firm.

With the terrain now stable, the Pokémon could stand their ground without difficulty, eliminating this disadvantageous battlefield condition.

Giovanni's Pokémon naturally wanted to prevent Eddie's team from executing this move, but facing the combined Dragon Pulse attack from three Pokémon simultaneously, forcing their way through such an assault would inevitably result in severe damage.

After all, even a Champion-level Pokémon couldn't easily withstand the coordinated attack of three other Champion-level Pokémon.

Since Dragon Pulse is a wide-area attack, it wasn't possible for several Pokémon to shield each other or rush through it together.

As for Dugtrio, it had ceased its Sandstorm and was constantly evading the attacks from Mega Gengar and Mega Gardevoir.

Although it wanted to counterattack, both Mega Gengar and Mega Gardevoir kept harassing it with long-range attacks.

Whenever Dugtrio dared to close the distance, one of the two Pokémon—either Mega Gengar or Mega Gardevoir—would switch from offense to support, using interference moves to halt Dugtrio's advance while the other took advantage of the opening to land heavy attacks.

Dugtrio: "Are you kidding me!? Not only are you two switching between attacker and support, but you're ganging up on me two-on-one! This isn't fair!"

If Eddie knew what Dugtrio was thinking, he would have responded with nothing but contempt. In a life-or-death battle like this, winning by any means necessary was all that mattered.

"Well, you've got some skill. I suppose we have no choice but to fight head-on now!"

Giovanni watched as Eddie dismantled his strategy with ease. While praising Eddie's abilities, he immediately launched another offensive.

As for his claim about a head-on confrontation, Eddie didn't believe a single word of it.

"Nidoking, Nidoqueen—Earth Power!"

Upon hearing the command, Nidoking and Nidoqueen immediately channeled their energy into the ground. The moment the energy transfer completed, several geysers of power erupted from the earth, targeting Eddie's Pokémon.

This move was similar to Earthquake but lacked the ground-shaking effect, making it slightly less powerful overall.

However, its advantage lay in its speed. Once activated, the energy fountains would quickly burst forth from directly beneath the opponent's position.

But no matter how fast it was, Pokémon who were prepared could still dodge it.

On the battlefield, aside from the two short-legged fighters—Mega Tyranitar and Dragonite—the other Pokémon easily avoided the attacks using their own methods.

Mega Tyranitar decided to counter energy with energy, using Earthquake to clash directly against Earth Power.

As for Dragonite, it used Ice Beam to freeze the ground around itself, then used its excellent skating skills to glide away from the attack.

"Perfect. Just keep defending like that."

Giovanni sneered as he watched Eddie's Pokémon deal with the attacks.

"Mega Aggron, Iron Head! Mega Steelix, Iron Tail!"

"Rhyperior, Horn Drill!"

While Eddie's Pokémon were busy dodging the attacks from Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Giovanni issued orders to his other three Pokémon. The three Pokémon who received Giovanni's commands instantly charged in the same direction.

Their target: Mega Tyranitar!

Giovanni understood Mega Tyranitar's weakness. Although it was a pseudo-legendary from the Johto Region, its speed was its greatest flaw.

The fact that it could only counter attacks with other attacks proved everything. Naturally, Giovanni would target this pseudo-legendary first.

Even though it was a Johto Region pseudo-legendary with exceptional power in all aspects, Giovanni firmly believed there were no weak Pokémon in the world—only weak Trainers. He had even defeated the legendary Mewtwo with his Mega Beedrill.

So what was this Johto pseudo-legendary to him? He had multiple strategies to defeat Mega Tyranitar in a one-on-one battle, but to finish it quickly, he sent three Pokémon to attack simultaneously.

Steel and Ground-type moves were super effective against it. If Mega Tyranitar took all three attacks, it would definitely sustain serious injuries and might even faint.

"So Nidoking and Nidoqueen are restraining my other Pokémon while the rest focus fire on one target, planning to eliminate my team one by one?"

This was a straightforward but effective strategy. The question was how Eddie would respond.

"Mega Charizard X! Fire Blast!"

The only Pokémon restrained by Earth Power were those that couldn't fly. Flying Pokémon like Mega Charizard X and Mega Garchomp, as well as Pokémon like Mega Gengar and Mega Gardevoir who could levitate, remained unaffected.

Mega Charizard X received the command and unleashed blazing flames from its mouth, engulfing the entire battlefield.

In an instant, the battlefield transformed into a sea of flames, not only changing the terrain but also blocking Giovanni's line of sight.

Since Giovanni was still being carried by Crobat, flying high in the sky, the sea of fire below naturally obscured his view.

Of course, Eddie's situation was identical to Giovanni's—except that Eddie could use the power of Aura and his Psychic abilities, so observing his own Pokémon through the flames posed no problem for him.

"Interesting, but this action won't resolve Mega Tyranitar's crisis."

Giovanni, who had nearly been struck by an Aura-enhanced punch at the start of the battle, naturally knew that Eddie possessed special abilities. But even so, this move didn't resolve Mega Tyranitar's crisis—Giovanni's Pokémon were still on course to attack it.

"Haha, Giovanni, you're not the only one whose vision is being blocked by this sea of fire."

Eddie sneered with a confident expression, as if victory was already in his grasp.

Giovanni's pupils contracted when he heard this, and his face went pale with shock.

However, before Giovanni could order his Pokémon to abort their attack, sounds he didn't want to hear emerged from within the sea of flames.

"GROOOAR! GROOOAR! GROOOAR!!!"

"RRRAAAGH!!!"

These were the cries of Aggron and Steelix—cries of pain.

"Damn it! Mega Aggron, Mega Steelix, Rhyperior—use Dig!"

Giovanni immediately understood that they were screaming because they were being beaten. Making a split-second decision, he ordered them to quickly dig underground to escape the sea of fire and regroup with Nidoking and Nidoqueen outside.

Yes, Nidoking and Nidoqueen were outside the sea of fire!

The Fire Blast that Mega Charizard X had just used directly separated the two Pokémon who had been using Earth Power at the rear of the battlefield.

Just like Giovanni, their vision was blocked by the sea of flames. And because their sight was obstructed, Earth Power couldn't accurately target Eddie's Pokémon anymore, naturally unable to restrain them.

The three Pokémon—Mega Aggron, Mega Steelix, and Rhyperior—who were now surrounded by the sea of fire, had become the perfect example of "closing the door to beat the dog." They were about to be beaten by Eddie's ten Pokémon.

Three against ten—no matter how strong their defenses were, they would still be overwhelmed and cry out in pain.
