The old crone pointed her Snake Staff at the Great Elder standing beside her and chuckled sinisterly.
"Is the senior perhaps joking? Have I cared for you inadequately?"
The Great Elder hastily flashed an apologetic smile, thinking he had unintentionally offended the old woman.
"I'm not joking at all. I want to eat you!"
The old crone cackled eerily, and as everyone watched, she transformed, revealing an eight-meter-long colossal snake body that coiled within the Council Hall.
The Great Elder was terrified, his face deathly pale as he turned to run outside.
"Clan Leader, save me..."
As everyone looked on, the giant snake bit down on the Great Elder's head and in one swift motion swallowed him whole. A brief and pitiful cry for help was cut off; he was silenced forever.
The entire place was shocked; they could never have imagined that the Sect power they treated with such respect would turn out to be a cannibal!
