Before they knew it, night fell, and evening classes were near.
The classroom was bustling as Jiang Nian returned from the cafeteria, just in time to run into Zhang Ningzhi at the doorway.

"Hmph! Keep mocking me," Zhang Ningzhi pouted and stuffed a paper bag into his hands.

The two of them walked into the classroom side by side and sat down at their desks, only to realize that there wouldn't be a weekly test today.
Upon thinking about it, it made sense since the second round of mock exams was happening on Wednesday, and having a weekly test would mean discussing the test paper and then immediately facing the real challenge.
It would serve no purpose and might even affect some students' states.
Without the test, they went into self-study mode.
