The energy was magnetic, contagious, the arena filled with buzzing conversations and cheering.
Saito sat frozen, staring at the screen in disbelief.

Their forms emerged, scratched, clothes torn, energy flickering like dying stars. They were panting heavily, their forms bent and scorched"Tsk... How can she be that strong?" Aisha winced, blood running down her chin.
"We... can't... win," Alice murmured, her voice fragile.
In the far distance stood a girl.
Her long black hair veiled her face. She wore a purple sweater, a black skirt, and worn-out purple and white sneakers. Her stance was still — yet the air bent subtly around her.
They had faced many powerful cultivators. But this one... she wasn't just powerful. She was wrong. Like a silent concept out of place. A chain of contradiction.
This wasn't someone playing the game. She was the game's paradox.

"LET ME IN ON THE FUN, HAHAHA!!"
A brutish cultivator — tall, scarred, with veins glowing crimson — charged in. He punched Aisha straight in the gut, sending her skidding backwards.
Her scarlet eyes widened.
"YOU BASTARD!" Alice howled.
She shot forward, her black katana materializing in her hand.
But just before her strike connected — clang!
Sparks flew as another blade met hers.
The girl with long hair — the one they called Hybrid only by her class — had intercepted it.
Not with effort. Not with resistance. But with a cold, practiced flow.
Her katana was linked by chains to a second blade dangling loosely by her side. The metal ring of the chain flickered with light as it spun.
Alice was stunned.
For a brief moment, the veil of hair shifted, and she caught sight of the girl's eyes — closed.
Still fighting without vision.
Still dominant.

Hybrid moved.
In a blur of motion, she released the hilt of one blade, grasped the chain mid-air, and yanked it — pulling the second katana into her grip.
She twirled it with ease, unleashing a relentless flurry of chain-assisted slashes. Alice deflected what she could, but every parry drained her energy.
Chains wrapped and twisted with blade motion, adding unexpected vectors. Alice dodged barely, gasping, sweat pouring.
She leapt back, panting.
Hybrid stopped.
Her blades hung, the chains pulsing softly. She stared — eyes still closed.
"You expect a thank you from me?" said the brutish cultivator, scoffing arrogantly.
"I didn't ask you to butt in."
He stepped forward, cracking his neck.
"Hahaha... What am I saying? These weaklings are going to die anyway."
His smile curled into a sneer.
"I did say I'd destroy this story... and everyone in it."
Alice's fingers tightened around her sword.
Aisha grit her teeth, wiping blood from her mouth.
"You talk too damn much."
"What's that look, girl? Disgust? Oh, that's cute."
The brute stepped forward, flaring his red aura. It shimmered with a hateful resonance, like it was built on the suffering of others.
Then — with no warning — Hybrid was between them.
The brute stepped back instinctively.
"Tch... You again? Step aside, freak."
She didn't respond.
"You deaf? Or just stupid?"
She remained silent.
Suddenly, her eyes opened.
Two void-colored orbs stared back at him. For a fraction of a second, the space around her imploded inward.
The brute went silent.
So did the battlefield.
Even the planets groaned in response.

Back in the lower world, the crowd continued watching.
Jin-Young Zheng tilted her head, curious.
"Well well... the pieces are moving faster than I thought."
Saito sat still.
But something — something unspoken — had just shifted.
In another place, under a tree, Sung Ki opened one eye.
And smiled.
