Lucian continued walking, shoving his hands into his pockets as he calmly descended the stairs one by one. The sound of his footsteps echoed against the steps. Upon reaching the bottom floor, the servants he passed bowed their heads when their eyes met his.
As he stepped towards the main door, something made him pause. Before him, a carriage was already prepared at the mansion's entrance, complete with a coachman sitting upright in his seat.
Seeing this, Lucian narrowed his eyes. He touched his forehead and shook his head as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. To his recollection, he hadn't arranged for a carriage.
