After Philip left, Daniel stood by the French window and made a call to Ashton.
"Did you find anything? Did Trenton really come back to Easthan that day?"
"I looked into it carefully. Every year, when it's time for the kids' birthday, Trenton always sends them gifts himself. He's done it every year since they were born up until last year. He's never missed a single one."
Ashton didn't mention how Trenton's gifts were always expensive and carefully chosen. The kids loved them.
"Did Mrs. Wilson accept the gifts?" Daniel asked coldly.
Ashton replied cautiously, "At first, they got along well. But something happened, and their relationship soured. After that, Mrs. Wilson stopped accepting the gifts and used to throw them away. But Trenton has a way with words. He always managed to win the kids' favor, so Mrs. Wilson eventually stopped throwing those gifts as she didn't want to upset the children."
