The surface of Nine Curves Lake is as calm as a blue mirror, with ripples shimmering in the sunlight as a gentle breeze blows across.
Uesugi Sakura sits on the green grass at the shore, under the thick trees, gazing at a group of white swans drifting on the lake.
The scenery is indeed nice, but being here in London, UK, feels a bit too far from Tokyo.
It's not that he particularly loves Tokyo, but his parents are there, and perhaps he's just used to living there.
"Hanabi."
The girl sketching by the lake turns to look at him.
"If I hadn't come here, would you have stayed here studying abroad?"
"Yes," Hanamaru Hanabi replied, "but I would definitely go back to visit during the summer holidays."
Uesugi Sakura feels that the past events' impact on her has faded, at least she doesn't have the same sensitive mentality as before.
"Actually, I really wanted to come to the UK to accompany your studies."
