Sitting on a gigantic stone, Giles had an indifferent expression as he watched the sun slowly set on the horizon. He glanced back once at the distant Edge City, then continued to stare at the horizon, remaining motionless like a stone figure. Beside him, Jia Mi also sat rigidly, her expression unchanging, just like a statue.
"They should be coming soon," Jia Mi said softly, her entire body already bathed in the afterglow of the sunset.
The bright red light shone on her, making it seem as if she were drenched in blood, though without the stench of it.
Giles nodded slightly and said, "They should have arrived."
