Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: The Push from the Sorcerer Supreme

However, the Sorcerer Supreme not only knew what was happening, but also chose not to stop Lance. In fact, the Sorcerer Supreme never once asked Lance about the events. This provided a clear hint about the Sorcerer Supreme's intentions—so long as the outcome was good, the process was of little concern.

Of course, the Sorcerer Supreme was not the all-knowing One Above All. Perhaps the Sorcerer Supreme could not guess that Lance had a system unknown to anyone, and who knows what was truly on Lance's mind. But what mattered most was the result. For Lance, that was enough.

"Be strong as soon as possible, Lance!" the Ancient One sighed, with clear exhaustion in her voice, "I am truly tired. I hope you can become stronger and help lighten this burden."

Lance merely pursed his lips, a bit hesitant, then replied, "I feel like I have been progressing very quickly lately."

The Ancient One smiled, though the smile resembled more of a sign of fatigue. "That is why I will let you leave Kamar-Taj." With a wave of her hand, the Ancient One opened a portal leading outside and simply left.

Lance stood in the middle of the room, where he looked around before raising his hand. In an instant, the sea began to churn again, rolling with the power that manipulated reality. The broken angel feathers and its blood mixed with seawater were extracted once more.

Lance examined the results closely. Twenty-one intact feathers, seventy-seven damaged feathers, and angel blood—two bottles of mineral water.

"Tsk, tsk... poor angel," Lance murmured with a slight smile. Then, Lance added his harvest to the system, gaining a profit of 5,000 points. "Another big harvest this time," Lance said with satisfaction, as if eager for the next lottery draw.

With the harvest neatly stored, Lance opened a portal to his next destination.

The portal brought Lance to the entrance of the Marbury villa, where Tony Stark lived. As the tempered glass door opened, Jarvis's voice greeted Lance.

"Welcome back, Mr. White," Jarvis said in a formal and orderly tone.

Lance recalled Tony's previous request: that every time he came, he should enter the house through the proper door and not just appear out of nowhere. Lance nodded, realizing how rude it would be to show up without knocking.

"Jarvis, has Nancy returned?" Lance asked, hoping to meet the woman.

"Miss Nancy is having dinner with Miss Pepper," Jarvis replied.

"Where is Tony?" Lance inquired further, surveying the surroundings.

"Mr. Stark is in the laboratory," Jarvis answered with his usual precise information.

Lance walked towards the laboratory, and as soon as the door opened, Tony appeared with a somewhat strange expression on his face, as if something was making him hesitate. "Have you... finished fighting the angels?" Tony asked, his voice mixing concern with curiosity.

Lance furrowed his brow, a bit confused. "How do you know there are angels?"

Even though the battle between Lance and Lucifer sounded quite significant, it took place far out at sea, away from the mainland. While it was possible that the military could monitor it, there was no way Tony could know about it just like that. Tony shouldn't be this well-informed about such matters.

Tony shrugged. "My car was hit by an angel; Jarvis told me right away, so I saw it myself... I have to admit, it was a truly spectacular sight!"

Lance merely shrugged, trying to appear casual. "Actually, there was a conflict with the angels, but I wasn't the one fighting them. It was my friend."

Tony frowned, curious. "That... Oh, Lord of the White Sky?"

"Yes," Lance replied calmly, not too disturbed.

Tony curled his lips, clearly showing his disbelief. "So, that guy just happened to come to the bar for a drink?"

Lance only smiled faintly. "No. I just called him for help. He's an archangel, the son of God himself. Of course, we needed assistance!"

Tony's eyes lit up, surprised and curious. "Does God really exist?"

Lance looked at him seriously. "Yes, God does exist. But they aren't as great as the legends say. God doesn't care about human beliefs."

Tony scoffed, a sarcastic tone escaping his lips: "Just as I suspected."

Unable to hold back, Tony continued, filled with excessive curiosity, "Why were you fighting? Is there something magical about that bar? Something that draws you and the angels to come there?"

Lance gave a meaningful smile, his eyes glinting sharply as if holding a thousand hidden meanings: "There are indeed some magical places there. But I must remind you, it's better not to go there unless it's truly important. Otherwise, you might lose something that can't be explained, and later you'll regret every step you took and cry."

"Eh... what could I lose?" Tony's face shifted slightly, his expression reflecting his confusion. Curiosity gnawed at Tony, and although he tried to remain calm, his heart raced. Truly, Tony was planning to go there and find out for himself.

Lance raised the corner of his mouth slightly, smiling faintly as if he knew something unspoken: "Maybe it's your most precious feelings. Or the memories you hold, or... perhaps your moral integrity?"

Lucifer was born with extraordinary talent, and although his abilities had drastically diminished, a certain aura still clung to him. One could feel so small in front of Lucifer, even if they tried to lie.

Mazikeen, as a succubus, preferred to play with men, teasing and manipulating. Although Mazikeen would never go too far beyond the limits, for Tony, who was quite arrogant and proud, meeting that rebellious demon would certainly not go smoothly without a bit of friction.

It wouldn't be surprising if Tony lost face a few times, especially if their stubborn personalities clashed.

Tony pursed his lips, feeling as if he was trapped in his own confusion. Unsure whether to trust Lance's warning or not.

Lance, as if sensing the tension hanging in the air, quickly switched to another topic: "How did Nancy's examination go?"
