Julie's nails dug faintly into the log beneath her as her mind swirled.
She hated it, how her heart was fluttering, how her breath hitched each time Cassius's hand lingered on her, how the sting on her butt mixed with this heat in her chest until she couldn't tell the difference between humiliation and hunger.
