Chapter 69 - Chapter 67: Snake in Waiting

It was another bright and sunny day in Dullville. At least that was Amanah's main thought as she came home from another boring day at school. She missed their old world and the battles. She missed having people tremble in fear at her feet. She also missed having scores of young men and nobles groveling for her favor. She knew she was beautiful. More beautiful than her mouse of a younger sibling.

She frowned as she thought about Serenah and Romeo. The fact that he chose to hook up with her was mortifying and a blow to Amanah's pride. Angrily she made her way to her father's study and waltzed in without permission.

He glanced up and frowned. She went to his desk, slammed her hands down on his desk, and glared.

"What, my precious daughter?"

"Father, I want him."

"Him?"

"Romeo Lancaster. I…want…him. Give him to me." Amanah pouted and watched her father's face.

He sighed and stood. He came around his desk and led her to the couch. "I would like nothing more than to make you happy."

She grinned at his words. Her father would do anything for her. However, that courtesy was not extended to Serenah.

"But you can't have him right now."

"What!" she screeched, shocked at his refusal.

Her father held up his hand and she snapped her mouth closed, unhappy with him.

"Your sister gets to keep him for a little longer. I plan to snag his father. The only way to do that is to allow Serenah to continue to date him."

"But Father! He's mine! Not hers!"

He patted her hand and chuckled.

"What are you laughing at?" she snapped, not liking his condescending chuckle.

"You, my dear daughter. You are adorable when you are riled up."

Amanah frowned, confused by her father's comment.

"Like I said, don't worry. Romeo Lancaster will be yours. I have other plans for you sister after I end that relationship. You will be in the clear to pursue him then."

"Fine but can I hurry the process along?"

"What did you have in mind?"

"Father, I'm going to harass Serenah so much that she'll throw Romeo away. Aggravating her will make her show her bad side and that should be a turn-off to Romeo. Then I'll swoop in and show him how good it can be with me. Once he sees that, he'll come to me willingly. I can't wait," she purred. Amanah licked her lips seductively at the thought of owning Romeo.

"Be careful. I do not want my upcoming meeting with Romeo's father to be jeopardized. Anything else you do is fair game."

"Thank you. Father!" Amanah squealed and hugged him. She sauntered off, an evil smirk on her face.

[Three days later]

Amanah couldn't keep the smile off her face. She was keeping up her harassment of her sister. Serenah outwardly acted fine, but Amanah knew she wasn't. She was probably the only one other than Alastar who knew Serenah was bothered by the harassment. It was times like this that Amanah was glad she had gathered these idiotic humans to her side. She didn't have to lift a finger if she wanted something done.

Today was Friday and her spy had informed her that Romeo was taking Serenah to Stormi's Playground, a local diner, after school. She grinned. It was time to put her plan into motion. Whistling, she went to fetch her faithful followers to go crash the date.

Amanah studied her gathered group of flunkies. Nicholas was at the front of the group, his malicious smile sending happy chills through her. He still had a bone to pick with Romeo over the homecoming dance. She would use him the most to enact her plan for their arrival at Stormi's.

"Alright! Listen up. The name of today's game is to annoy Romeo and disrupt his date with my twin."

"Anything off limits?" Nicholas asked.

"Not really. I want to see how creative you can be."

Nicholas laughed. "You know how creative I am," he bragged and stroked her cheek.

She resisted the urge to smack his hand away. She'd had sex with him a couple of times and now he thought he was the best in bed. He was a child. He didn't know how to make her sing. No, she had others who could scratch that itch.

"Yes, I do," she agreed and stepped away from his touch. Ignoring his frown, she went to her car and got in.

She watched as her crew ran to their vehicles and then they were off to Stormi's Playground.
