"May I have your watch for the task? Since you will be wearing the one I give you." Before Karsten could start reading, Roshra demanded, extending her hand towards her brother and moving her fingers open and close.
The watch I had given him rested on his wrist; he always wore it around the clock.
"Is that necessary?" Karsten asked, taking in a deep breath.
"Yes, come now." Reluctantly and unwillingly, he removed his watch and handed it to Roshra.
She handed him a big watch which he fastened to his wrist and concentrated on the piece of paper he had extracted from the pot.
"Read it aloud," Roshra instructed again while I relaxed against my chair.
All of us watched as Karsten's forehead developed several creases. He then turned to face his sister.
"Really?"
Roshra let her hand hang on her hip while she spoke.
