So, the Necromancer King's departure led to plans for a mass exodus starting the next morning. They would be taking the armies with them, which would involve dozens of airships, leaving over the course of only a few hours.
Then, there were the body doubles to impersonate the Royals, hiding the fact that they were actually going home by Portal.
The mages of the Duskblade Sect would set up a relay for them to get back home with, other than the Necromancer King, who had the personal power to get himself all the way home in one hop.
