Chapter 331 - Ch 331 : Tsunade staying

"Your Majesty, about Miss Tsunade…"

Samui approached Makoto, hesitating as she spoke.

Makoto chuckled lightly. "She's quite interesting now, isn't she?"

Samui paused thoughtfully. "Is that… how you see it?"

"What did you think I would do?"

"I thought you would punish her."

"Doing the same thing every day gets boring."

If not for Tsunade's incredibly alluring body, Makoto would have grown tired of her long ago.

In fact, he somewhat regretted being too forceful when he first took her.

He had broken her too quickly, stripping away her spirit—along with the fun.

He should have been more patient back then.

Initially, Makoto hadn't realized how entertaining it could be to have people from the original world appear here.

What truly intrigued him was the phenomenon of parallel-world soul transfers and time travel.

But during his conversation with Tsunade just now, he suddenly grasped something—this was the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, straight from the original timeline.

He couldn't help but wonder—once she fully realized that, in this world, she was nothing more than his plaything, what kind of reaction would she have?

Still, this situation served as a reminder.

The ones who could undergo soul transfer weren't fixed—it could be anyone from the original world.

Makoto planned to imprint the same coordinate technique he had previously engraved on Hinata in the other world onto everyone in Konoha.

This could easily be achieved using the Tower of Solarity, allowing him to detect anyone who crossed over from that world the moment they arrived.

Breaking the barriers between parallel worlds and mastering the method of traversal—this was something Makoto was determined to achieve.

...........

When Tsunade returned home, the first thing she did upon seeing Shizune was ask:

"What exactly is the relationship between me and that Emperor, Hyuga Makoto?"

Shizune looked bewildered. "W-What do you mean?"

Tsunade frowned. "You don't know?"

Shizune hesitated. "You… No, I mean, Lady Tsunade from this world used to work as the Emperor's assistant for a while."

"Is that all?"

Tsunade turned and went straight to the bedroom.

She yanked open the wardrobe, pulling out everything she had previously discovered inside, and dumped it all onto the bed.

Shizune followed her in, and when she saw the messy pile of revealing, suggestive items, her eyes widened in shock.

"Lady Tsunade, this…"

Tsunade rubbed her forehead, feeling an intense headache.

Why had she lost her cool like that?

She let out a deep sigh, then sat down on the bed, deciding not to hide anything.

"These all belong to the 'me' from this world."

Shizune looked utterly stunned.

Lady Tsunade she had always respected and admired… secretly lived like this?

She found it almost impossible to believe.

Tsunade didn't feel much psychological pressure—after all, she wasn't the one who had done those things.

Shizune quickly calmed down as well.

Without saying a word, she neatly gathered everything from the bed and put it back in the wardrobe in an orderly manner.

"Shizune?"

"These… are part of this world's Lady Tsunade's private life. We shouldn't be doing this," Shizune said softly, her head lowered.

Tsunade was at a loss for words and could only let out a long sigh.

Shizune then asked, "You went to see His Majesty, didn't you?"

"Yeah."

"Did you tell him about your situation?"

"…He saw through it immediately."

"I see… And what did His Majesty say?"

Tsunade placed both hands on the edge of the bed, leaned back slightly, and gazed up at the ceiling.

"Can you… return to your original world?"

Even though the person in front of her was still Lady Tsunade, she wasn't the Tsunade that Shizune originally knew.

This was a significant matter to her.

To Shizune, Tsunade was like both a mentor and a mother figure—she couldn't just accept this situation as calmly as Tsunade had.

If her Lady Tsunade had ended up in that other world, she was probably struggling to find a way back right now.

Hearing this, Tsunade turned to glance at Shizune, remained silent for a moment, then said, "I can go back… but it's a bit complicated."

Shizune immediately let out a sigh of relief.

But then, Tsunade suddenly said, "Shizune, you don't seem very happy to have me here."

Shizune was momentarily stunned, then quickly waved her hands. "No, that's not it! That's absolutely not it."

"..."

"..."

But after denying it, Shizune didn't know what else to say, and the room fell into silence.

After a moment, Tsunade suddenly let out a soft chuckle. "To be honest with you, I'm not really eager to go back."

Hearing this, Shizune instinctively clenched the fabric of her clothes.

"Shizune, do you want to hear my story?" Tsunade said calmly.

Shizune took a step forward, moving to sit beside Tsunade on the bed, adopting a quiet and attentive posture.

Tsunade, however, let out a sigh. "Where should I even begin?"

She had been through so much, but many of those experiences were also ones that this world's version of her had gone through.

Looking back on the past few decades of her life, the only truly happy and carefree times had been in her youth.

But those memories didn't seem necessary to recount.

So instead, Tsunade told Shizune about the years she spent wandering, the years during which Shizune had always been by her side.

She spoke of the young boy she had met along the way, of the Three Legendary Sannin going their separate ways, of her taking on the mantle of Hokage, and of Jiraiya's death…

Tsunade was telling it like a story, as if she were speaking about someone else.

She spoke of many things in a light and casual tone, but Shizune could hear the deep sorrow hidden beneath her words.

She had always been losing things.

When Tsunade finally fell silent, Shizune slowly stood up.

"Are you… truly not planning to go back?"

Tsunade tilted her head and suddenly smiled.

"How could I not? Since you're so worried about the Tsunade of this world, then the Shizune from my world is probably just as worried about me."

After saying that, she lowered her head.

Shizune could feel the loneliness behind that smile, and her heart tightened with emotion.

"Actually… as long as we can confirm that the Lady Tsunade of this world is safe and well… it doesn't really matter."

Tsunade was momentarily stunned.

"Maybe, after arriving in your world, she also found everything there intriguing and wants to stay for a while longer."

"…"

After saying that, Shizune turned and walked out of the bedroom.

Tsunade watched her leave, then silently chuckled and lay back on the bed.

The blanket carried a faint fragrance. She took a deep breath, savoring it.

She had noticed it last night—it wasn't just the scent of laundry soap.

It seemed that this world's version of herself knew how to enjoy life better.

Then, her thoughts drifted to Emperor Hyuga Makoto, and she felt a headache coming on.

If she decided to stay here in the future, how was she supposed to deal with that guy?

Maybe… she should just go on a journey instead…

As Tsunade's thoughts swirled in chaos, Shizune suddenly walked back into the room.

"Lady Tsunade."

"Hmm?"

"If you plan to stay here, it's best not to let anyone grow suspicious. There are many differences between the two worlds, so I think it's necessary for us to do some special training."
