Evening, at Tsunade's home.
After spending an entire day exploring Konoha, Tsunade had gained a basic understanding of the current situation in the village.
At the same time, she was also considering her present and future circumstances.
If she were to continue living in this world, she thought it might not be a bad choice.
A world at peace.
A Konoha that was strong enough.
No more endless troubles and headaches.
A future where she could simply enjoy life.
Although there were differences from her original world, it wasn't something she couldn't accept.
She just needed to rebuild her relationships accordingly.
As Tsunade lay in her bedroom, she suddenly heard voices coming from outside.
Curious, she got up and walked out, only to find Shizune chatting with a young, beautiful girl in the living room.
"Lady Tsunade, I'm heading out for a bit. You should rest early," Shizune said.
It seemed like the girl had come to find Shizune.
Tsunade took a moment to observe her.
As if realizing something, Shizune introduced, "Rin invited me to hang out at her place."
So this was Rin…
Tsunade couldn't help but recall something Kakashi had once told her—about how Uchiha Obito had started a war because of the death of the girl he had always been devoted to.
She had always been curious about this girl.
Now that she was seeing her in person, Rin was indeed pretty and cute, but not to the extent that she could bring about the downfall of nations.
Hmm… still not as beautiful as me.
That was what Tsunade thought to herself.
She smiled lightly and said, "You two go ahead."
Rin didn't notice anything unusual.
She simply greeted Tsunade politely before leaving with Shizune.
After they left, Tsunade, having nothing to do at home, decided to go out for a walk as well.
The past few years of development had made Konoha's entertainment scene much more diverse, and nightlife had become a thing.
After a quick stroll through the old district, she made her way to the new district.
To her surprise, it was even livelier at night than during the day, with crowds of people filling the streets.
She wanted to find an izakaya to sit down and have a drink, but every single one she came across was packed.
Just then—
"Lady Tsunade?"
"It really is you, Lady Tsunade!"
Just as Tsunade was feeling a little frustrated, she ran into a few familiar faces.
It was Kakashi, Guy, and Obito.
"You guys..."
Tsunade looked at the slightly cool-looking Kakashi and the somewhat unfamiliar Obito in front of her, feeling incredibly strange inside.
Though, she had to admit—this version of Kakashi actually looked more reliable.
In her original world, when she passed the Hokage position to Kakashi, she always felt like he would be even lazier than she was.
As for this Obito… She had just seen Rin a moment ago.
Suddenly, a thought popped into her mind.
She turned to Kakashi and asked, "Kakashi, you're still single, right?"
Kakashi gave her a puzzled look.
Why was this the first thing she brought up after seeing him?
Tsunade then bluntly followed up, "What do you think of my Shizune?"
Kakashi: "..."
Obito and Guy, standing beside him, were completely shocked.
Kakashi felt a bit awkward. "Lady Tsunade… why are you suddenly bringing this up?"
Tsunade chuckled. "You're both single and at the right age. You should consider each other."
Obito gave Kakashi a light push and then started frantically winking at him.
Kakashi sighed helplessly. "I haven't really thought about that kind of thing yet."
But Tsunade insisted. "You should start thinking about it. If you don't date at your age, it'll be such a waste. Youth passes in the blink of an eye."
As she spoke, she reached out and patted Kakashi on the shoulder.
Kakashi just felt completely baffled.
Why was Tsunade suddenly so concerned about his love life out of nowhere?
After giving a couple of half-hearted responses, he quickly said his goodbyes and left.
Obito, however, couldn't hold back and said, "Wow, Kakashi, Shizune is such a great girl. You really lucked out!"
Deep down, he was actually hoping Kakashi would hurry up and get into a relationship—this way, he wouldn't have to worry about him being a rival for Rin.
Kakashi just scoffed and replied, "Not interested."
Obito, on the other hand, kept trying to persuade Kakashi and even tried to get Guy involved in setting him up with Shizune.
After parting ways with Kakashi and the others, Tsunade originally planned to find a gambling den to play a few rounds.
However, after wandering through several streets, she couldn't find any such establishments.
She finally pulled aside a passerby to ask, only to learn that Konoha had abolished such places a long time ago.
Tsunade couldn't help but curse in her heart, "This Hyuga Makoto has no sense of fun at all."
Since she couldn't drink or gamble, Tsunade had no choice but to sulkily return home.
Shizune hadn't come back yet, so she went to bed early.
The next morning, Tsunade asked Shizune how she could meet the Emperor.
"His Majesty is in the palace. You can just go directly—no one will stop you," Shizune replied.
Dressed in casual clothes, Tsunade headed straight to the palace.
Just as Shizune had said, the guards did not try to stop her.
However, fearing that she might get lost inside, Tsunade took the initiative to approach a guard and ask, "Where is His Majesty right now?"
The guard looked at Tsunade in surprise and said, "He should be in the front hall. Lady Samui is definitely there—you can ask her."
This palace was even more grand than the Daimyo's residence.
As Tsunade walked through it, she carefully took in her surroundings.
When she arrived at the front hall, it was obvious that this was where the Emperor handled official matters—she could see several clerks hurrying by, carrying stacks of documents.
Upon stepping into the grand hall, Tsunade saw a woman with an icy yet stunningly beautiful appearance.
She had golden hair, and her figure was no less impressive than Tsunade's own.
"Why did you come dressed like that?"
The first thing Samui said upon seeing Tsunade was a question about her outfit.
Tsunade glanced down at her clothes—loose, sleeveless short top inside, with a long green haori draped over it.
That was how she had always dressed.
Did the Tsunade of this world not wear this kind of outfit?
She suddenly recalled the "special" clothing she had found in the wardrobe.
"Ahem, I forgot today…" she said casually, clearly unconcerned about her attire. "Is His Majesty in?"
Samui frowned slightly upon hearing this.
"His Majesty hasn't arrived yet."
"Oh, then I'll wait for him for a while."
The front hall was divided into three areas: one was the main hall for important meetings, which was rarely used.
Another was a loft for the emperor to rest and entertain himself.
The last one was the daily office area where they were currently located.
After saying she would wait for the emperor, Tsunade made herself at home and began wandering around, observing the surroundings.
When she noticed another door inside, she pushed it open without hesitation.
It was a lounge, similar to the one in the Hokage's office back in the day.
Inside, there was a bed, as well as a refrigerator and a tea table, all fully equipped.
Tsunade went straight in, sat down, and made herself a cup of tea.
At that moment, Samui appeared at the doorway, looking at her with a strange expression.
"What? Has His Majesty arrived?" Tsunade asked while sipping her tea.
"…No. You're acting really strange today."
Tsunade was momentarily stunned, then quickly set down her teacup.
"I-Is that so?"
Worried that she might give herself away, she immediately became more cautious.
"Am I not usually like this?"
Samui pondered for a moment. "No… I heard from Mabui that you normally act this way, but never in front of His Majesty."
Tsunade felt a bit confused.
Mabui… wasn't she the Raikage's secretary?
Back during the Fourth Great Ninja War, she had met that woman.
Unfortunately, Mabui had perished alongside Shikaku under the Ten-Tails attack.
Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed from outside, accompanied by a man's voice calling out.
"Samui."
Samui cast a deep look at Tsunade before turning around and leaving.
Tsunade couldn't help but feel a little nervous.
Had the emperor arrived…?
