The Next Day.
Natsu woke up a little late.
She hadn't set an alarm, and when she opened her eyes, she found that the sky outside was already bright.
She was the only one left in bed.
Glancing at the time, she saw that it was already past eight.
When she walked out of the master bedroom, she was surprised to find that everyone was already up, which made her feel a bit flustered.
"Natsu-nee, you're so lazy!" Naruto ran over and teased her.
Ayari walked over and gave Naruto a light smack on the head. "Don't be rude."
Then she turned to Natsu and said, "Go freshen up first. We saved you breakfast."
"...Alright."
Natsu's gaze swept over everyone in the house.
Makoto was watching her with a smile at the corner of his lips, which only made her even more embarrassed.
Even though she was already very familiar with everyone, the change in her identity today left her feeling a little unsure of herself.
As she was washing up in the bathroom, Ayari suddenly came in.
"How was he last night?"
"Huh?" Natsu was momentarily stunned by the question.
Ayari leaned against the doorframe and looked at her.
"Huh, what? How was he last night? You woke up so late—did he wear you out?"
Natsu's face instantly turned red.
She stammered for a long moment before finally replying, "He... was very gentle."
After all, it was her first time, so she wasn't quite sure what it was supposed to be like.
But in her eyes, Makoto had been very gentle with her last night, and the experience had been a beautiful one.
Ayari continued, "Everyone knows about this, so there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Just interact with us as usual. As for the way the kids address you, they'll gradually adjust over time."
"Mm." Natsu kept her head lowered and responded softly.
"From now on, you should just stay here. But there's no rush to move your belongings— the palace will be completed soon, and by then, we'll all be moving there."
"I understand."
Seeing how obedient and sensible Natsu was, Ayari suddenly couldn't help but ask,
"Now that you've chosen him, do you regret it?"
Natsu hadn't expected such a question, and her face showed her confusion.
"He doesn't belong to you alone… In fact, you don't even have a fifth of him. There will be many nights when he won't be by your side."
"..."
Natsu remained silent for a moment before slowly shaking her head.
"I don't regret it, Ayari-nee."
Ayari's gaze flickered slightly. "Hurry up and finish washing up so you can eat breakfast."
"Okay."
Natsu suddenly recalled what her sister had once told her.
Before yesterday, she could have chosen another man—someone who would belong to her completely, body and soul.
But so what?
A man like that wouldn't even compare to a fraction of Makoto.
She walked out of the bathroom and saw Makoto lounging on the sofa, casually reading a magazine with his head resting on Kushina's lap.
Naruto and Sasuke had already run off to play again, while Hinata trotted over and gently tugged at Natsu's clothes with her little hand.
"Mom just told me that from now on, I should call you Mama Natsu."
Natsu was momentarily dazed and felt a little embarrassed.
"Ah… Yes, that's right."
Little Hinata then asked, "Mama Natsu, will you stop being so fierce from now on?"
Natsu couldn't help but laugh. "As long as you behave, I won't be fierce with you."
At home, aside from Ayari, the children feared Natsu the most.
After all, she had scolded and disciplined all four of them at some point.
The household maintained a harmonious approach to raising children.
Whenever Natsu disciplined them, their biological mothers never intervened.
Of course, Natsu never acted without reason—she only stepped in when the children were being too mischievous.
Morning
Makoto went to check on the construction progress of the imperial palace.
By now, Obito had fully adapted to this kind of work and was busy discussing something with a group of craftsmen.
When they saw Makoto arrive, everyone stopped and respectfully greeted him.
"Your Majesty."
"I'm just here to check on the progress," Makoto said as he glanced around.
With Obito overseeing things, the construction was advancing rapidly—at this rate, it would be completed in less than a month.
"Your Majesty, don't worry! As long as I'm here, everything will go smoothly," Obito said confidently, patting his chest in assurance.
Makoto chuckled and patted him on the shoulder. "I have no doubts about that."
The overall blueprint for the palace had been designed by Makoto himself, and everything was being built according to his vision.
The project was already halfway done, and many pavilions and structures had begun to take shape in the distance.
After offering a few words of encouragement to Obito and the craftsmen, Makoto left the site.
..............
With nothing urgent to do, Makoto wandered through Konoha, strolling back and forth through the streets of the new district.
It was still early, so there weren't many pedestrians on the streets.
As he walked through this modernized cityscape, he couldn't help but imagine—perhaps a hundred years from now, this world's civilization would experience a monumental leap forward.
After strolling through the streets for a while, Makoto made his way to the Ninja Academy and found Neji's class.
The classroom was empty, and after a quick scan, he realized that the students were outside on the training field.
Neji, Toneri, and Jugo were sitting together under a tree, cooling off in the shade.
While the other children were running around, playing games, and making noise, the three of them sat in complete silence, like a trio of little old men.
None of them spoke, nor did they engage with the other students.
Some kids tried to approach them, but Neji remained indifferent.
And since children weren't the type to persist when ignored, they quickly gave up and left after facing his cold demeanor.
Watching from the shadows, Makoto found it amusing.
He's so aloof here, but he sure doesn't act like this at home.
After observing his son for a while, Makoto planned to go find Nonou for a chat.
However, just as he turned to leave, someone suddenly appeared behind him in a flash.
"Something you need?" Makoto asked.
The newcomer was Hakumen, who bowed slightly before speaking. "Your Majesty, are you here to see Prince Neji?"
"Mm…" Makoto responded absentmindedly, then glanced at Homon thoughtfully.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm observing Prince Neji as well," Hakumen replied.
"Why?" Makoto asked, somewhat surprised.
"Since Prince Neji has already enrolled in the academy, he may graduate before long. I want to be prepared in advance."
Makoto was even more taken aback.
From the way Hakumen spoke, it seemed he intended to become Neji's Jonin instructor after he graduated.
Makoto had never mentioned anything like this before, nor had he even considered it.
After all, Neji had only just started at the academy—it hadn't crossed Makoto's mind to plan this far ahead.
Yet, here was Hakumen, already thinking so far into the future.
Watching Neji on the training field, Makoto's gaze swept through the group of children until he spotted a little girl with two round buns in her hair and a long-haired boy with thick eyebrows. ( Tenten & Rock Lee )
Makoto fell into thought.
Letting Hakumen mentor Neji wasn't a bad idea.
If Lee never met Guy, then the "Rock Lee" everyone knew might never exist.
As for Neji, Toneri, and Jugo, their bond was strong—no one else could easily fit into their circle.
"You're certainly dedicated," Makoto remarked.
"It's only natural," Hakumen replied.
Hakumen had always believed he was the most suitable person to guide Neji in the future.
As a fellow Hyuga and one of the Emperor's personal guards, no one had more qualifications than him.
He had been looking forward to this for a long time.
Prince Neji, grow up quickly!
Makoto headed to the principal's office and glanced at the student roster for Neji's class.
As expected, he saw the names Rock Lee and Tenten on the list.
In Makoto's view, Lee and Guy were two people who had mutually shaped each other in the original story.
It wasn't that Lee significantly increased Guy's strength, but rather that they unwaveringly recognized and supported one another.
If Guy were to lose such a disciple, it would be a real pity.

Outside Konoha's Main Gate
Yahiko and his two companions stood before the bustling city, their hearts filled with indescribable emotions.
They had returned to Konoha under Makoto's orders.
Amegakure no longer existed.
The Land of Rain had been absorbed into the Fire Province and was now known as Rain City.
Once the Tower of Solarity was completed there, it was fully taken over by personnel sent from Konoha, and all the Ame ninja had been integrated into the new order.
The world was unified.
The world was at peace.
This was something Yahiko had never dared to dream of.
It had all happened too quickly—entirely due to the methods of Hyuga Makoto.
Standing outside Konoha was the Brutal Justice, an awe-inspiring presence that loomed over the heavens and earth.
It was this very entity that had forced the entire world to submit.
It sounded like something out of legend, yet it had only recently become reality.
"That's the Brutal Justice?" Yahiko murmured as he stared at the towering giant.
His eyes flickered with complex emotions. "People are calling it the Heavenly God of Justice now."
There were countless stories circulating about this colossal figure, but the most widely spread legend claimed that it was a divine being sent from the heavens to aid the Emperor in bringing peace to the world.
Makoto had summoned Yahiko, but he had no idea why.
He could only obey the order and come.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya had wandered off again, saying that staying in one place for too long made him restless.
The three of them explained their purpose to the gate guards and were led into Konoha.
They had assumed they would be taken to the Hokage Building, but their guide led them in a different direction.
Curious, Yahiko asked why.
"The Hokage Building has been demolished. His Majesty's imperial palace is being built in its place."
Eventually, they arrived at the reception hall of the Hyuga clan compound.
Now that they were here, the three of them didn't dare speak carelessly.
They could only sit quietly, drinking tea while waiting.
After about half an hour, Makoto finally arrived.
"Greetings, Your Majesty."
The three immediately knelt in respect.
"Rise," Makoto said, walking straight to the main seat and sitting down.
His gaze swept over them—no noticeable changes.
They no longer wore headbands, and Nagato's eyes were now black.
"I'll get straight to the point," Makoto said.
"Yahiko, I think highly of you. Amegakure may be gone, but I don't want your talents to go to waste."
Yahiko was momentarily stunned.
This wasn't the direction he had expected the conversation to go.
Makoto continued, "Everything that happened before—let's leave it all in the past. Now, the entire world belongs to me, and I treat all my subjects equally."
"Yahiko, I plan to give you an official position. From now on, you'll work in Konoha—don't refuse."
Yahiko couldn't help but exchange glances with Nagato and Konan.
After a brief hesitation, he could only kneel and respectfully reply, "Thank you for Your Majesty's favor."
"As for Nagato and Konan, if you're interested in working, I can arrange positions for you as well. Konoha offers excellent benefits."
After everything they had been through, Yahiko was no longer the naive young man he once was.
He had led a village and dedicated himself to Amegakure's development, proving his talent in governance and internal affairs.
Nagato and Konan also knelt in gratitude.
When receiving the Emperor's grace, refusing was not an option.
The events of the past had placed them on opposing sides, yet in the end, Makoto had spared them—and spared Jiraiya as well.
One could argue they had paid a great price in exchange for their survival, but all three of them knew the truth: even if Makoto had simply taken what he wanted by force, they wouldn't have been able to stop him.
The power gap between them was too vast—so vast that resistance felt meaningless.
And now, Makoto was suddenly talking about giving Yahiko an important role.
Was this the vision of an emperor?
"Your accommodations have already been arranged in the new district. Someone will take you there shortly. As for your work, someone will come to explain everything to you tomorrow."
The three of them were then escorted out of the Hyuga compound and led to a residential building in the new district.
To their surprise, the living arrangements prepared for them consisted of three separate luxury apartments, each one exceptionally high-end and lavish.
"I heard these apartments sell for tens of millions of ryo," Konan remarked, curiously looking around.
"Tens of millions…" Nagato couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement.
Thinking back to the bustling streets of the new district they had just passed through, he realized that price was probably well justified.
The person who had led them there handed over the keys to their respective apartments and briefly explained where they could shop for necessities before leaving.
"Yahiko, are we really going to live here from now on?" Konan asked.
Standing in the hallway outside his apartment, Yahiko gazed at the busy streets in the distance.
"Maybe."
If they truly had a chance to start over, this place didn't seem like a bad option.
Suddenly, he smiled and turned to the other two. "As long as the three of us are still together, that's all that matters."
Nagato and Konan also smiled in response.
The three of them took some time to explore their respective apartments.
Each had two bedrooms, spacious and more than enough for their personal use—to the point where it even felt a bit excessive.
Afterward, they went out together to purchase some necessities, strolling through the shopping streets of the new district.
Experiencing Konoha's prosperity firsthand left them deeply impressed.
The Next Morning
There was a knock on Yahiko's door.
"I'm coming."
Remembering what Makoto had told him the day before, Yahiko had woken up early.
Outside stood a man dressed as a Konoha ninja.
"Good morning, Yahiko-san. I am Yamashiro Gojo."
"Good morning, Gojo-san."
"I will first take you, along with Nagato-san and Konan-san, for registration."
Yahiko woke up Nagato and Konan, and after getting dressed, they followed Yamashiro Gojo to a designated location, where they were given three sets of uniforms and three Konoha forehead protectors.
Looking at the items in their hands, Yahiko and the others couldn't help but feel a bit strange.
Had they… officially become Konoha ninja?
Yamashiro Gojo explained, "Now, only Konoha ninja worldwide are allowed to wear forehead protectors. The uniforms are newly designed, with significant modifications from the previous style."
Yahiko quickly responded, "We will cherish them."
"Yahiko-san, I will now take you to your workplace. Nagato-san and Konan-san may return home for now."
Following Yamashiro Gojo, Yahiko was led on a long walk through Konoha, eventually arriving at an office building.
"Your work falls under the administrative category. His Majesty has instructed that this job is just for you to get familiar with things—there will be more important positions for you in the future."
After a brief introduction from Yamashiro Gojo, Yahiko realized that this department handled government affairs submitted from various regions.
"I will do my best."
Now fully dressed in Konoha's uniform and wearing a forehead protector, Yahiko officially began his new job.
Sitting at his desk, he once again felt hopeful for the future.
Nagato, Konan... Perhaps our future will be even better than before.
And Jiraiya-sensei...
