Chapter 123 - Ch 123. Visit III x Tailed Beast x Guardian of the Reef and Clear Water Isobu

Of course, the current Yagura was different; he was not under Madara's control, and the bloodline clans of Kirigakure were no longer causing internal strife. Even with the death of the Third Mizukage, the village would remain stable and would not descend into a complete power struggle. After witnessing Konoha's overwhelming power during the annihilation of the Uzumaki Clan, Kirigakure, much like Sunagakure and Iwagakure, had grown more united and resolute. The village had turned its focus inward, determined to strengthen itself in anticipation of any future confrontation with Konoha.

This was the environment that shaped the current Yagura. Under the guidance of the present Mizukage, he was groomed as a potential successor to lead the village. Despite his youth, he was entrusted with a burden that few dared to bear, becoming a Jinchuriki. Traditionally, Kirigakure had been cautious about creating Jinchurikis like other villages, as they were often mentally unstable and posed a significant risk to the village; more so, a Kage could not be a Jinchurikki. Yet, in these uncertain times, the need for power outweighed old fears. Thus, Karatachi Yagura became the host of the Three-Tails, Isobu.

Each of the nine-tailed beasts was born from the chaotic Natural Energy that once composed the world absorbed by the Ten-Tails. When they were first created by the Sage of the Six Paths, they were made of the essence of the ten-tails absorbed from the Natural Energy and were not massive beings made of a huge amount of chakras, nor were they created with unequal distribution of chakra, but represented essence, unaware of themselves or their prowess. Over the centuries, as they absorbed the power of Nature and grew in strength, each developed its own identity, nature, and strength.

In Ron's understanding, the tailed beasts represented natural laws, manifestations of certain forces or concepts found within the world. They were beings of pure chakra, embodiments of Nature itself, distinct from the Ten-Tails, which was more akin to a biological weapon. In that sense, they were closer in nature to the divine entities that existed across the world, such as the Shinigami or the so-called Evil God. However, the tailed beasts were unique, neither gods nor pure weapons like Ten-tails, but pure chakra life forms representing nature. These ideas were, of course, Ron's deductions based on his ongoing research and speculation.

Yagura's situation as a Jinchuriki was unusual. Despite housing Isobu, he did not suffer the typical conflicts between host and beast. Isobu did not resist his host or attempt to overwhelm him. One of the reasons for this was that Kurama, the Nine-Tails, had secretly left Konoha to roam freely. With Kurama's immense presence absent from Konoha, others were also intrigued.

Normally, when a tailed beast was sealed, its chakra would erode the host from within, forcing them into a constant battle for dominance. Even without active malice, a Jinchuriki's life was one of suppression of massive chakra and constant strain. Yet, for beings as ancient as the tailed beasts, whose existence stretched across countless centuries, conflict was merely one form of living. With their heightened natural senses similar to Ron's nature sensing, they could observe the world, communicate among themselves across vast distances, and experience the passage of time in ways humans could not.

Throughout history, many powerful individuals had attempted to control or seal them, Senju Hashirama, Uchiha Madara, and even the other reincarnations of Ashura and Indra. Yet none could truly suppress a tailed beast's will. They could imprison its chakra and mind, but its consciousness would persist, silently observing the world. Only the Ten-Tails, or a being with similar overwhelming power, could completely suppress their will, so all struggle was only temporary.

Thus, Isobu chose to remain quiet within Yagura not out of submission, but curiosity. He found Yagura's calm and determination intriguing and decided to stay dormant, observing rather than interfering.

Isobu himself was a colossal turtle with three tails, embodying life within coral reefs and the purity and reflection of clear waters. He could be regarded as the Guardian of the Reef and the Keeper of Tranquil Seas, symbolizing harmony and the steady flow of water.

Therefore, the current Yagura was not a perfect Jinchuriki; he had not achieved the complete union of chakra with his tailed beast, but neither was he tormented by it. His mind remained clear and composed, unlike the typical Jinchuriki plagued by inner turmoil. Despite his young age, Yagura had already mastered the Coral Release, a rare and intricate nature transformation derived from affinity with Isobu's chakra. He had also learned to wield the Mirror Water Technique from Isobu's chakra also reflected his growing control over water-based control techniques, such as the corral techniques and defensive constructs, and counterattack techniques.

Through diligence and talent, Yagura was rapidly approaching the strength of a Shadow-level shinobi, a stark contrast to the troubled, manipulated version of him that once existed in the later original timeline.
