Nova and Kiros looked around the palace after entering, hoping that they would not have to spend a long time there and get things over with as soon as possible; however, seeing the amount of people that were there, they knew it was just wishful thinking—they would indeed be staying there for more than just a while.
They exchanged glances when they felt some people staring at them with gazes that were pleasant, while some were not so much. It was clear by then a lot of people were curious about them, who they were and what they were doing there.
"Who are they?"
"They don't look like locals…"
"I have never seen that man before…"
Nova's gaze remained forward, Kiros just a step behind.
They were led into the main hall, massive, circular, with stained glass chandeliers and carved marble figures of ancient monarchs lining the walls. A fountain of glowing lilies stood in the center, its water falling in slow, suspended arcs due to the enchantments.
